Good for him that he is getting an HC interview. However, I don't see him getting the job at this time.
The board consensus is that he is a mid tier 13-18 QB and he finished the season as a mid tier 13-18 QB. How is Petzing holding him back?
I'm debating whether to merge this thread.
I fixed that. The whole thread makes no sense so it kind of made sense that the title also made no sense.

petzing didn't change aside from his ultra conservative redzone spurt - other than that only thing that changed was his qb's ability to process data instantly and without panic

I don't agree with this. It's kind of a fine point, but I think he's 8-15. Only 23 QBs started more than 12 games this season (put the number there to catch Drake Maye and Bryce Young); Kyler is in the top half of that group at least.

It's weird to rank QBs currently and when you do, it is eye opening on the state of the league. I think the gap between Goff, Stafford, Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Burrow and the rest of the league is pretty big, and then you have Herbert, Hurts, Daniels, Baker, Stroud, and Nix who are on the cusp of jumping into that group. After that you have Geno, Kyler, Dak, Purdy who have not really shown the ability to make that jump and are what they are. (I am just spitting this out so I may have missed a name or two).

Nick Rallis deserved an interview before Petzing. Our DC made lemonade out of lemons. Our OC couldn't figure out how to cook a Filet Mignon that was delivered on draft day. That being said, I'm hoping someone dumber than us hires Petzing away and Rallis stays for a while.
Rallis is like 5 years old and defensive. You ain't getting HC interviews at his age unless you have a McVay type offensive genius mind.

Or when he calls 2&19 draw plays or 3&21 trick plays.

A top-12 offense with a 5’10” skittish QB is pretty impressive. If you just replace MHJ with Nabers or BTJ we’re a top-10 offense easily.
