no because if they liked him they could get him in the 3rd
i assume is not on their draft board
arians doesnt like primadonna

Ahhhh...but nothing can bring a prima donna down more than being drafted much lower than personal expectations. Turns them into another player with a chip and something to prove.

Most think Cook would be a good fit for a West Coast Offense as he doesn't have the strong arm that Arians likes. Cardale Jones and Dak Prescott are still on the board, the Cards have worked out both of them.

If he falls to us in the 4th(which I seriously doubt), do we take him?

I say yes but 99% sure that ship has sailed. We are more likely to go after Cardale Jones.

The big question is what did Cook do wrong to warrant this drop? Laremy Tunsil does a bong hit from a gas mask and still goes in rd 1. Jay Cutler is a jerk and he goes in rd 1. Not saying Cook was worthy of a top 15 pick but he is clearly better than some of the QB's taken ahead of him.

There has to be something major out there.

Heath Shuler. 1993 Shuler was a Bowl game MVP, SEC Player of the Year, and Heisman runner-up. 1994 he was the 3rd overall pick in the draft. 1995 rumors were flying that he wasn't a leader, inspired zero confidence, and veterans like Mark Schlereth were saying from the first time he entered a huddle everyone knew he wasn't an NFL Quarterback. 1998 he was out of the league. ESPN rates him the 4th Biggest Draft Bust, while NFL Network is kinder with 9th biggest bust in history.

You don't have to be a superstar athlete, overly charismatic, or aggressively demand respect to be a good quarterback. But if there is something that doesn't inspire confidence, or if you lack any of the other qualities, that QB is now a contagious cancer on morale.

Cook? Seems a bit extreme...

I like a little arrogance in my qb but not if it border on the d-baggery. Seems like teams didn't like what they heard during interviews.

We will get our QBOTF in the 5th round by taking the Sudfeld kid from Indiana. He has all the makings of a NFL QB and under BA's direction can be one. He will be the second coming of Jim Hart IMO.

I think the poor leadership rap on Cook is way overblown. I think his leadership is obvious...what did he go like 35-5 as a starter?

Moreover, the players voted C Jack Allen as captain as he is a workout warrior and impassioned player whom coaches and players love. Sometimes on great teams it is very difficult to pick captains---heck, Fitz wasn't even a captain a couple of years ago.

This and one can not ignore that he wasn't a team captain, obviously he is dropping for a reason.

I hope not. I also don't want Hogan or Prescott.

It's Cook, Cardale, or no QB for me. At this point you have to gamble and these two guys have some elite skills but something is holding them back. If you can find what that something is and fix it...you have an NFL starter.

I'd shy away from Jones unless it's late like our compensatory pick in the 5th. He smacks of Logan Thomas too much for my tastes to draft. Now Prescott has the bigger upside IMO. He's a poor man's Cam Newton.

I honestly wouldn't mind taking Cook, Jones or Prescott. To me, if a QB can not make it under the mastermind like Arians, then they probably can't make it anywhere. BA is a QB guru. Just saying...
