"It's a call for me to step up and be the player that I know I can be," he said. "I can't get down. I can't feel like it's a shot or anything like that, a sign of some negativity. I've just got to keep continuing to work hard and push to be the best player I can be."
Cooper said he doesn't feel gun shy at all about pushing himself to the limit because of his leg. But he said it could be an issue subconsciously because when he watches himself on tape, he notices mistakes and times where he might "pull up or do something."

Well we see how you does. All this news is just news. Once we see the players in action is when we can really determine who they really are. Can't wait till Saturday!

Arians truly is an open book. If the doctors clear you, he wants a 100% effort. I think players try and pace themselves in certain circumstances, and Arians just sees it as employee calling in late for work, and Arians is all about the work. I see Cooper getting worked by CC which is going to happen, but he has to keep his confidence and use it as a valuable learning tool, meaning he has to improve as the preseason goes, no heart no start. I think Cooper has the heart, and I hope the confidence grows. Coming back from a snapped leg and you got CC trucking you hardcore...yowza. :D

I also think that this is a shot across his bow about practicing when away from the facility--football practice beyond rehab. You shouldn't be just getting your footwork straightened out once camp starts. You have a team of coaches and advisors who should be working you through that stuff once you're cleared to practice.

I will always remember the Jonathon Cooper vs Chance Warmack choice. It will be interesting to see how their careers turn out. It started out with Cooper playing well, and Warmack playing horribly. Then Warmack turned it on pretty good second half of the season for Tennessee.

Cooper needs to get healthy, Watford looked pretty good in the last preseason. I would prefer to start a healthy Watford over a gimpy Cooper.

I was hoping to watch John Brown in the game on Saturday, but it is sounding like the hamstring is still holding him out. It's too bad, because I think WR is especially important to get game experience as a rookie.

Not so worried about Abraham. I am confident he will get any legal/addiction issues sorted out so he can be a force on the outside. The defense looses a ton out there without out his pass rush presence.
