And remember, the players at the beginning of the season pretty much made O'Neal their locker room leader, so this could be a bigger issue.

Blanks has got to go. I like Babby, but Blanks is his guy and he may go down with him. I don't think that any self-respecting GM would want to come here and share GM powers with Babby.

Coro and Gambo tweeted that the players were overwhelmingly in favor of Majerle taking the HC job and now he's not even with the team. The only guys that wanted Hunter were Beasley and Marshall.

This whole fiasco has got me liking Gambo more than I ever thought I would. He is absolutely killing Blanks every chance he gets and I love it.

How do they know this stuff "the only guys who wanted xy are blabla" ... it just seems totally fabricated.

Nuclear winter style stuff going on in this organization.

Wow. Too bad I am not surprised.

The players contact them. Even Jude LaCava was saying players were contacting him trying to find out who the new coach was going to be.

Jermaine O'Neal is not traveling with the team on the road trip.

Now we have to worry about Stern fining us for not putting our best product out.:D

This team is a complete disaster and probably the laughing stock of the NBA at this point. I am a HUGE Suns fan but even I am pretty much abandoning ship at this point. At least until Sarver comes to his senses and wipes out the FO and brings in a REAL GM.

We are probably stuck with Sarver for awhile. So we need to hope that he realizes what a disaster this team is and front office is.

I really hope the younger guys on the Suns weren't looking at JO as a leader. Most reports to come out of Boston the past 2 years were that he coasted and decided to get paid instead of rehabbing. Not to mention his stint in Indiana and Portland.

Gambo is a hack. LaCava is a nobody despite being around forever. Lacava said a player contacted him and whoever it was is a complete moron if they are contacting LaCava to get the scoop.

I know people like to call Gambo a hack and I have called him out myself when he is been wrong but he gets a bunch of stuff right too. Also, many of these media guys friend players. It's how they get their info. This is nothing new. It was no secret that Marion was not only friends but leaked plenty of info to Gambo and Ash.

Hell, my friend installed Marion's sound system in his new car....guess who was there with him when he picked it up?

Gambo may be a hack, but when it comes to the Suns he is connected with the best possible source.

While I love that O'Neal told Lance Blanks what most in the valley are thinking, I also think that O'Neal EVER being named team Captain was a joke. The guy has a very checkered history in the league, filled with questionable effort, allegations of faking injury and a big time part of the "Malice in the Palace".

He throws **** on the wall and hope it sticks. His opinion (which is what he's paid for) is crap and ever-changing.

Some Gambo Twitter Gems:

Gregorius is a solid shortstop who is major league ready now and under control for 6 years. Great defensively, average offensively

Justin Upton will not be traded. Arizona will not be entertaining any more offers for Upton's services. He is staying a Dback.

Smith would be huge upgrade at QB for Cardinals and 49ers can get out of his contract following 2012 with only 1 mill guaranteed

I would actually prefer Courtney Lee to OJ May for Phx --He is 6-5 so bigger, can guard 2 positions, better 3 pt shooter, better defender.

Great point Heath and I agree 100% moves put them back into mediocrity territory not top 5 pick territory

not a fan of Mayo, just another decent bench player who is going to get overpaid

It was no secret that Marion was not only friends but leaked plenty of info to Gambo and Ash.

Makes sense. Marion fed them whatever information he wanted out. Just like similar players do today. I still don't feel like Gambo is someone I want to listen to when it comes to the Suns. Paul Coro is that guy.

I'm glad someone told him off, I'm sorry it was O'Neal. After his intriguing start with us, he's returned to his normal self. The guy is a lazy, unmotivated whiner and I hope we find someone dumb enough to give us something in return for him. He can still play well when he wants to but he hasn't wanted to in over a month.

Just thinking. The Suns may be in line for a roster blowup similar to the days of the drug scandal. Except this time, there is no one to put the pieces back together.
