The main guy they were raving about is a freshman. Most of Texas's defensive talent is in the secondary.
They lost a lot of star talent from last year but play great D as a team. Not sure there’s any standouts though.

they have a lot of guys that play linebacker but make a lot of money against the run and rushing the QB. #88 Sorrell will be in the NFL, he's a senior. Anthony Hill Jr. is a sophomore and Colin Simmons (freshman) are probably their most dynamic players on defense. both are hybrid type edge rusher/linebacker. Hill seems to drop in coverage more than Simmons does and Hill is due for a pick six I hope tonight lol. their DL/LB crew is very deep though.
The QB matchup is also interesting. there's no Michael Pinnex out there this year in the playoffs, but Ewers and Howard have both been up and down in their careers. one of them can do a lot to advance their draft stock tonight. Ewers formally announced his going into the draft. so I hope he plays well tonight.
