I know that Kurt is definite about being retired. But if the Cards made him an offer that he could not refuse say $20 million per year could he really be productive?

He has missed the ongoing workouts, min-camp, training camp, etc. How long would it really take for him to get into game shape? In the past few years he had been a workout warrior but has the layoff been such that he just couldn't be productive again. Just interested in observations & thoughts on this from our board gurus.

There isn't a chance in hell Warner comes back!!! I guess you forgot what happened to him in New Orleans. Thats why he retired & why he will stay retired. He has too many more important things in his life to do than football because of money.

No way w/ no training camp or offseason workouts...

I only said cards should offer him 60million to return in jest yesterday...he saw the writing on the wall the moment he got cold cocked by Bobby McCray.

Hell yes he could perform. Warner in his sleep is better than Anderson, Leinert and about half the QBs in the League. Makes you wonder if in his dreams he is back on the playing field. I bet he frequently dreams about his playing days. Dreaming about them means he doesnt wake up sore at least.

OT- Bidwill is a putz. I noticed a scrub wearing HOFer Roger Wehrli's #22 jersey. The Cards dont have that many recent HOFers. I am sure they can afford to retire #22. That said the Cards should not wait until Warner goes to the HOF and retire his number NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just to add some controversy. It is obvious to me he will go in the HOF as a Ram. So no Warner HOF shirts to buy unless you want a Ram shirt.

He retired because of the concussion in STL. BEFORE the NO game he ran around the sidelines after the GB win thanking the fans. He knew he would never play in AZ again BEFORE the NO playoff game.

And he is still retired.

Nostalgia again.

Note to self: Make mold out of Warners leg........

Warner retired when he signed his last contract and let Graves and Bidwills know he most likely would'nt finish this contract ,so they even set the deal up where it paid more "ONLY" if he played both years.Warner left a lot on the table and it was because(1)He did'nt want to prepare the way he had to daily another year and the stress and pressure was more than the hits he was taking as a player.

(2)He wanted to spend time with his large and growing fast family as he finds it more valuable everyday than what he got out of football.

(3)Kurt has said whenever he misses the game he just goes over to #11's backyard and throws him the ball.Kurt said he could have played at a high level for 2 more years, but it was too much of an investment and sacrifice he did'nt want to do it anymore.

There is'nt a brett favre bone in Kurts body.Me thinks Brett is sure he made the wrong decision by now.LMAO!

They aren't retiring numbers anymore. Tillman's #40 was the last one.

Why would you think Warner will go into the Hall of Fame as a Ram?

He will go in as a Ram because he won a Super Bowl with the Rams and an MVP. I saw a post where someone was saying A Williams would get elected to the HOF because he won a Super Bowl. Yet I saw the AZ Republic mininize Ottis Anderson's chances. It is forgotten by Cards fans that Ottis Anderson won a Super Bowl and the MVP for the game with the Giants therefore he is not as promoted as if he had done that for the Cards. AZ Republic mispelled his name even. You win the Big Game and that is the team you go into the HOF.

By the way Derek Anderson sucks so baaaaaad that he should be required to change his name so that he doesnt poison it for me.

Once again, regarding the Pro football HOF - a player goes in based upon the total of his career; not as a Ram, not as a Cardinal, not as a Giant; as the player, period. The hall already has artifacts of his accomplishments, both as a Ram and as a Cardinal.

All that matters to me is that all the merchandise sold by the HOF and the NFL will depict him as a Ram. No Cardinals Red Warner HOF merchandise..

Thanks for reminding everyone again! Maybe this should be made a sticky, because it comes up so often!

Wow, is that all that matters to you? I never gave it a moment's thought - in fact, it never occurred to me that the HOF even sells their own merchandise, but of course they do, at http://store.profootballhof.com/. Turns out they already have one item of Kurt Warner merchandise:

Desert Storm: Kurt Warner And The Arizona Cardinals' Unforgettable Run To The Super Bowl

So much for the idea that the HOF will depict Warner only as a Ram!

The HOF has no incentive to diminish Warner's time with the Cardinals. They include a logo of every team with which each inductee was associated - even a Cardinals logo on Emmit Smith's page.

(They also have plenty of Cardinals merchandise... much of it with the old logo! Oh well!)

Warners CARDINALS jersey from his Jags game is on display at the HOF as that game he broke the passing record for game percentage of completions.I also believe he has another Cardinal jersey on display for his playoff run and the rating he got for postseason play.

The CARDINALS are well represented by Warner in the HOF.

Dave find me a Hall of Fame inductee that played for more than one team with merchandise produced for induction that includes more than one team. It is about cost. To produce induction merchandise of more than one team for each inductee costs more money than producing merchandise of one team. Cardinals merchandise doesnt sell that well. So why would the HOF add cost with end result of having unsold items. I never said you would not find Warner merchandise there now not related to induction. You intentionally distorted my point for your own sense of reality. Prove me wrong with INDUCTION merchandise (i.e. shirts) for a player that player for multiple teams.
