Were 9-3

If I had told you 12 games in we were going to be 9-3 would you have taken it?

Now if I had told you we would be 9-3 with Carson Palmer, Dockett, Abraham and Washington all gone for the season and with CC and Fitz missing multiple games what would you have said? Two of our three losses were on the road against Denver and Seattle with a backup QB I mean come on now. This was the first game all year we should of won that we lost.

Drew Stanton is clearly suffering from a case of Kirk Cousins. He came in early for a game or two no pressure playing fast and loose now it's a reality that this is his team and the pressure is on and your seeing him just come apart. That last INT was as bad as I've ever seen. Our guards not being able to get any push at all doesn't help.

Last year it seems everyone on this board was screaming for Ellington to be the number one back. More Ellington more Ellington was all you heard. He's clearly not that guy he's a change of pace back this off season we need to address the offensive line were set at tackles for years in my opinion but we need guards that can dominate. Let's see what Cooper can do hopefully he lives up to the hype I think he starts the rest of the year.

We really need OLB that can win those battles. This just happens to be the best draft in recent memory for pass rushers and running backs. Good for us

Listen BA didn't forget how to coach I'm seeing allot of blaming him. Trust me oh he knows what's going on in Stanton's head and I don't think it's good.

Were not to far away a good draft and a free agent or two and we can be legit contenders. We don't need allot but what we do need more than anything is just to be healthy.

We also need the highest paid corner in NFL history to stop getting manhandled and quitting on plays.

Let's not forget all of a sudden in his 3 games leading up to this against the cowboys rams and lions he played as well as he's ever played in his career.

It's not the 9-3 record it's how we got here. We were on a roll and had many breaks go our way even with the injuries. We had an opportunity to win game 10 today against a hungry team at home, but our best chance to win looking at our schedule. And we laid an egg. No other way to sugar coat it.

We are all frustrated watching the wheels fall off our team. They did not look prepared and came in flat. There is no excuse for this either from the team or the coaching staff.

Oh they didn't come out ready at all we were down by 17 in a blink of an eye.

But the wheels are not falling off injuries are piling up. That's what's happening

Finito-----that is as solid an assessment as we will likely see about the plight we are in right now. It sucks that reality has reared it's ugly head for Stanton to look right in the eyes, but that's life, and we go on from here.

I hope that neither Ellington or Mathieu are hurt really badly. I agree with you that Ellington had already shown about what he had left to give a couple of games ago. The last three games are a little over 2 yards per carry, as the injuries and the beatings have piled up on him. He is NOT the guy you can run between the tackles all year to the tune of 22-25 carries per game. He IS a wonderful change of pace back,

Reality says that BA now has to see about salvaging anything he can from the remainder of this season. He has milked way more than I, (or enyone else for that matter), could have or should have expected this year. He was superb in doing it, and he will be really good at working with what we have remaining talent wise. While playoffs are not out of the question yet, a deep run into the playoffs is not very realistic at this point.

He and Keim will also need to be looking at how we can fill the gaps that we have left in our roster as the off-season approaches. I join you in hoping that a lot of band wagoners don't begin to jump ship and start laying blame on BA. He has earned a great deal of credit for us being 9-3 at this point in time, and it would be a shame to hear a lot of grief being thrown his way for us having three losses now.

I hope he is able to work with Tom Moore, to get Stanton back to a better state than where he is mentally right now. Again, the issue seems to be lack of accuracy, and I don't know if that can even be changed, given his long history of playing at about this level. We shall see. If not, then BA will have his hands full simply trying to round Stanton into a more positive form than he is at this point in time. I hope he can succeed, but I would be surprised if he is able to make a lot of headway at this point.

Thank you for your astute post. You are a voice of reason, in somewhat unreasonable times.

2/3 of those QB's aren't even backup caliber and Calvin hasn't been himself all season. Not sure why you protect him so much.

Let's also not forget that in the 8 games leading up to playing Weeden, Davis and Detroit, Peterson left A LOT to be desired the entire rest of the season.

Bottom line for me is the guy is making wayyyyy too much money to only play really well in 1/4 of the games this season.

Fact is he's been playing great you can't even say he hasn't. In the past he's done very well against Jones in college and the pros. The guy had a bad game it doesn't mean he sucks.

You know what I'm sorry you guys are right. Let's cut him.

Total bust I've seen the light this defense would be so much better off without him.

If we can go 2-2 over our final 4 games I will be ecstatic. Beat KC and Seattle at home please.

Fitz being gone changes the whole game. Look at the colts last year after they lost Reggie. Playing from "far behind" the whole game changes it too. And it's not all Drew's fault, there were mistakes across the board! Stop the fast start the rest of the games and limit turnovers and we can win a few more. I'm really mad but let's try and stay positive

Cards should finish at least 11-5 and at worst be a wild card team. If anyone can fix this offense Arians and Moore can. I'm not worried, even with a one and done playoff run I'd be happy. I'm not throwing in the towel. The Cards season was seriously disrupted by injuries this year. They will be better next year, but they need a QB badly. I like their QB corps, but they need to spend a very high draft pick this year to get their QBOF. Beg, borrow or trade they need to move up in the top 10-15 to get their guy.

Ellington has been playing hurt all year and I'm pretty sure i heard on a couple different interviews that he will need surgery once the season is over.. I have a feeling that is hurting his production as well.

The best players on the team and the top 5 ranked player at their respective position should always rise to the occasion. Peterson lacks any semblance of consistency like a player that is getting paid the amount of money he is. The complaints being made against him are justified according to his contract.

Maybe PP has top 5 CB ability but he doesn't always play like a top 5 CB. To be considered a top 5 CB you need to come out each and every week and show it. HE has had way too many games where he plays like a #50 CB instead of a top 5 or even top 10 CB.
