Another good Guard available in Free Agency. I'm going to be interested to see what Deuce gets.

He is just not that good anymore. Big strong guy who can't really move. Pass.

He doesn't belong on a team that likes to pass most of the time. He'll probably go to Pittsburgh or some smash-mouth team like that and be really good for a year or two.

The Cowboys aren't the greatest Brain Trust in the NFL. They release Flozell Adams and he starts 16 games for the Steelers. In his 13th season.

Maybe not, but they DO get rid of them (before) they go bad.

I hope I never see him in Cardinal Red again, but he got tagged by someone at ASFN with an all-time nickname before he left:

The Horse Whisperer. :biglaugh:

Davis never got good with the Cardinals

You have a faulty memory. LD was very good both at G and at RT for the Cards.

He was also good at LT. Not all pro great but nowhere near the slug you seem to think he was.

It's amazing how guys come in and play well for years for this terribly dysfunctional organization and then get incredible hate from the fans as soon as it looks like they may be released or sign somewhere else.

Are other teams fans like this? I guess.

If they wanted to run the ball he may be worth it, but they need better pass protectors then what Davis can bring.

Yeah we heard that before. So they let BIG leave and drafted Levi Brown.

You seem quick to call a fan a hater just because they don't want someone back. I could counter by saying its amazing how a former player gets love from the fans as soon as another team releases him.

I guess I just remember the 25 penalties and 12 sacks allowed (iirc many of them at crucial times) he had in 05 and 06. He didn't want to stay here very bad, either. Granted, his stats were better at guard but do I want to go down that road again? No.

Looking at the stats, how does someone get a .25 sack? The QB must have gotten hammered by the whole DL.

Which is what's so dumb about this team. They need an offensive identity, if they want to pass, they should be going after good pass blocking O-lineman, like the Colts do, if they want to run then they should go after the Leonard Davis's like the Jets do.

A Big Laugh smiley after a detrimental nickname is a far cry from just not wanting someone back. You don't like him fine. But belittling former players is ridiculous.

As for your penalties I did research on that years ago when people like you were calling him Drive Killer. Only one false start penalty in his entire time in Arizona killed a drive. It was Reggie Wells who killed drives, in addition to having more total penalties, not Leonard Davis.

btw: the link you posted? their stats don't jive with nfl.com's play by play.

People like me. :biglaugh:

Mancrush much? Did you look up the stats in all 31 games he played in those years to compare that stat?

People like me say just say no to the Horse Whisperer.
