No surprise. This is the reason he dropped in the draft.

boy-- on draft day that talent, especially at a position of need and one that is hard to find, is soooo tempting that it makes you want to beleive it will all work out

Per @NFL drug policy, Randy Gregory failed 4 tests. 1st at combine -- in the program. Then 2-gm fine, then 4-gm fine, then 4-gm suspension

Not mad about Golden, just felt it was too early and that Mauldin, Harold or Hunter should have been the pick.

Golden led all rookies in hurries.

This story about the hurries doesnt really work
How can they judge the level of hurries?
Golden is a hard worker but miss a step and half to put constantly pressure as the great pass rusher do

Remember this when people start clamoring for Noah Spence in round 1.

I have already started on that train, thus I will be the poster child for it since I am already clamoring for it.

But, how are we going to settle this, avatar bets, or just go the gentlemanly route, and say I do you so when one or the other is wrong?

My official stance will be he has the talent that is worth the risk.

From talking to scout friend, Spence would be waaayyy out of character for the type of guy Keim drafts in round 1. I agree, he has 1st round talent but I was told(paraphrasing) he's kind of a nut job and un-reliable.

That's actually less than I expected. Gregory has a history of violence, depression and "mental issues". Numerous teams took him off their boards because they believed his drug use was self medication to control his other issues and he would either keep testing positive, or go clean and be unable to function.

He was ranked as the best rookie pass rusher. Not sure where I read it but I was surprised at his stats vs other rookies.

Gregory supposedly admitting he was addicted to smoking weed as well. IMO that was like waving 10 red flags.

Just another bad decision by Gregory, if he wanted to be drafted in the 1st rd needed to way 20 red flags to get Jones attention.

We won't have to worry about Spence, he will be gone by #29. Even though he bombed interviews at the Senior Bowl that won't make a difference if he impresses next week at the Combine and stays clean before the draft.

I am accepting the fact that ARZ's best pass rush option may be Calhoun if he's there. I didn't realize he will be an older rookie (23.5) at the start of the season but I'm not bothered with that, he will just be better prepared than the younger guys I feel.

He was ranked as the best rookie pass rusher. Not sure where I read it but I was surprised at his stats vs other rookies.

Ranked by who? Golden had the same number of sacks as some of the other pass rushers in the draft (4), Danielle Hunter had 6. I will say Golden has worked out so far, let's see if he can continue to improve or regresses like Okafor.

The league announced on Thursday that Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has been suspended for at least one year after violating the NFL Policy for Substances of Abuse.

Gregory served a four-game suspension to start the 2016 season for his first substance abuse violation and served an additional 10-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy for a second time.

Around The NFL will have more on this shortly.

Why doesn't this include the playoffs this year? Because it's the Cowboys that's why. If it were the Texans or Dolphins or any team in the NFC the suspension would start right now.
