On their NHL main page, headlines:

Sharks win in overtime/ Blackhawks too.

and then:

Hanzal's OT goal lifts Blackhawks in Game 1.

Really?

:bang:

ESPN is pretty much a joke when it comes to hockey let alone the Yotes..

CNNSI, much better..

Anyone know what channel the game will be on on Cox tonight??

The game is on NBC Sports Network -- not sure what it is on Cox, but it's 603 on DirecTV.

Rangers/Senators is on now and heading to OT -- don't think they are going to cut away to Coyotes game, so let's hope that one doesn't turn into an epic!!

EDIT - WOOHOO -- ended a little over a minute into OT!! Bring on the Yotes!!!!

Why do the announcers keep talking about Blackhawks promotions?

NBC Sports Network usually simulcasts local coverage vs. having their own crews -- so this is really the local Blackhawks coverage we are watching. Since the Suns/Dbacks are on tonight, no local Phoenix coverage for them to simulcast.

So there is no local coverage anywhere? That's kinda sad.

Hey Brian, O posted this in another thread ... "The game is on the NBC Sports Network which used to Versus.

At least on Dish it is."

Well, in fairness, The Yotes are contracted locally with Fox Sports -- and the Suns are on FSNAZ and The Dbacks are on FSNAZ+... unless they come up with a FSNAZ++, there wasn't going to be room for all of them and it's not like the playoff game has been scheduled for months. I'm just glad there's coverage of it at all!! :)

Gotcha. You'd think playoff hockey would rate, but I realize that Phoenix is not really a hockey town, per se, and the other sports are more of a priority. Still sucks though.

But, yeah, glad there is coverage. That would suck even more.

And that goal sucks.
