2 games in a row that they gave up tying goals with less than 10 seconds. I think they did the same several times during the season.

they did ........ very tough loss, but it's been a bit of their mark this season

absolutely need to close out victories when you have them ...... i know that goes without saying, but the coyotes have been going without doing in that regard

We'll know tomorrow if Shaw is suspended.

Boedker scores in overtime and the Coyotes take a 2-1 lead in the series!

I think Torres will be suspended for the hit on Hossa, which looked scary. He didn't need to leave his feet.

Yeah, probably done for the series, maybe... But, Torres didn't get a penalty and it looked much worse than it probably was. Overall a legal hit, but the fact that Torres came off his feet and hit the head is what's going to cost him.

Otherwise, told ya'all the Yotes like playing in Chicago.

This has been the best series thus far in the PO's. Every game is back and forth and features free hockey for the fans.

I am guessing 5 games. Shanahan has to say enough is enough for these playoffs. Who better to make the example than Raffi? It's too bad since he has played really well. Could hurt pretty bad. You can only lose so many players before the cupboard is bare.

Raffi is a punk .... Always had been and this isn't his first rodeo with playoff cheapshots

Great win though ..... Sucks they are 5 second away from 3-0

also does it matter that he's supremely skilled?

that's one thing I really don't like about the NHL discipline process

status seems to matter, level of injury seems to matter, etc

if a star player takes an intentional run at the head of a 4th liner than it's no big deal unless the guy is half dead ......... however, a lesser shot from the 4th liner to the star player will be a suspension if the guy falls to the ice too long

seems like if you are consistent with the actions you punish then the overall results are going to fall ......... not sure why they frequently only punish if the result is bad ...... sets the message that those type of hits are generally OK unless you kill someone as opposed to those are the types of hit that can kill someone, so they aren't tolerated

anyhow, refs have done a horrible job all postseason in keeping control .... hard to remember this many fights, this many full on scrums, dirty runs, etc

seems like every game the refs balance ticky tack calls that put people into the box with dirty plays that happen right in front of them that just get a play on

not sure how many players i've seen without the puck get crosschecked and dropped to the ice in the middle of the ice on an offensive play where the ref just let it go

you let players get away with those type of plays and then turn around and call the most minor hooking penalty frustrations are going to bubble up real quick

Yeah, the leaving his feet part is gonna cost him, I would guess.

Any word yet on a suspension?

1-2 games. If a cheap shot on a goalie is only worth three for them, I gotta think the penalty for Raffi would be less than that. Of course, if the league thinks this is a pattern for him, they might send a message. The aftermath of the hit should not be measured. That means, no matter how badly hurt the other player gets, it shouldn't affect the ruling. But I suspect the whining out of Chicago will make things worse.
