Vermette makes it 1-0 in the first period. Great passing by Yandle and Boedker. I like their intensity so far.

Hanzal scores and the Coyotes retake the lead. Let's hope they can keep the lead. Vrbata just scored to make it 3-1!!! Smith came up huge before the goal.

Just when you turn your head, the Coyotes score to make it 4-2. Pyatt with the goal.

Wow! I have never actually thought that the Yotes could go all the way. Now I do! I am thoroughly impressed tonight.

5-3 is the final score! Now we have to wait until Wednesday for game three.

I am continually impressed with this team. Awesome team game tonight.

Sweet goal by Doaner, too.

That was THE best game by the Yotes in the playoffs thus far. Contesting everything in the neutral zone so the Preds had very few clean entries, getting to every loose puck, etc. etc.

GREAT game!

It was nice that they didn't go into their prevent defense at the end and stayed aggressive w/ the puck. Though the dual penalties at the end sealed it.

It's also nice to hear the arena silent when the opposition scores.

Oh, and was Legwand trying out for the Suns?? Nice assist there buddy.

It was very nice to see them answer with a goal every time the Preds scored too

In the other series, the Kings already up one game to none are beating the Blues 4-0 after the first period.

We'll take that, although their away record in this playoffs is not too shabby either. GO :yotes::yotes::yotes:

Kings win 5-2 as Kopitar and Brown have big games. The Blues were horrible on the power play and if the game gets ugly in game three, expect more fighting like tonight.

Who knows how we would match up against either team (if we could get past the Preds). However, home ice is home ice. Go Kings!

Loving these hockey playoffs right now. Don't want to jinx things by looking ahead to the WCF. Dispatch the Preds and worry about it when the time comes

Kings are definitely turning heads. Here in LA, the band wagoners are out in droves. I was talking to a die hard Kings fan at Costco the other day and he's upset that all these new "fans" are coming out of no where. I had to remind him of where we live: the Mecca of bandwagon fans.

Once Kobe retires, will there be any Lakers fans?

EDIT: Yeah, I hate two things about projecting ahead. 1) Assuming the current series is over. 2) Picking which team I want my team to face. I'm going to stop doing them both, right now.
