Just got back from watching the game at 18 degrees (at the Ice Den). Wow. I don't know how many of these close games I can stand. A man can only suck just so much seat into his rear end.

These guys are so much fun to watch.

Anyone else getting sick and tired of seeing Smitty getting piled on in the net? Glad the refs got that one right again.

Yes, but I'm glad the refs have the guts to make the right calls, even in Nashville.

I wonder if they'd be trying that if Raffi was still in the lineup. (Probably, but they'd think twice, I bet.)

These last two games are what most expected from this series. Here's hoping they can wrap it up Monday. I just don't see the Preds winning three straight against Smith and this team.

Well, if they would stop playing this silly "prevent defense" they would have closed games out better like the regular season.
Nashville is not the finesse team like Chicago, so it'll be more of a challenge for them to get that extra goal late.

Yeah, but I'm also getting tired of him playing the puck like he has. He's given up two stupid goals because he comes out the play the puck.

My anxiety when we have a one goal lead, and the other team pulls the goalie, is going off the charts. Is it too much to ask for at least ONE empty net goal instead of all this frantic action right in front of Smith in the final seconds?

He absolutely should ..... hit in the numbers away from the boards driving him face first into the boards

Unnecessary play that is prone to cause serious injury ....... Being the playoffs and given the history of klesla I'll going for just a fine ..... But definitely the type of dot that is worth reviewing

So when Rosival was slammed first face into the glass in game 2, it should have resulted in discipline too, right? The NHL is so schizophrenic you can't even call it a double-standard...

according to azcentral, a Blues player was suspended for 3 games for a similar hit. I would like to see a 3-game suspension that is delayed until the start of next season. We already lost Torres for the entire playoffs and then some. Losing anymore players would be very tough on this team. The past few years have been an uphill enough of a battle

I don't think he gets anything more than a fine or a one-game suspension. If he gets anything that would carry over to any future rounds, should the Coyotes progress, it will be such incredible crap.

I agree NHL discipline is all over the place ..... However, this is the type off stuff they need to consistently target

across the board make it easier ..... If the play was dangerous and unnecessary then you get to talk to the league .... Too bad that its to complicated fits the NHL

The NHL needs that approach and teams and fans need to accept it

Instead it's a giant mess

I thought Torres would get 5 to 10 games for a suspension. I wouldn't be surprised if Klesa gets more than just a fine.

When there are disciplinary issues with the Coyotes, I think they are worse off than other teams because they are being run by the NHL.

Not at all.... Torres hour slapped because he's a dirty player and the NHL would be better if he never laced up skates

This it's a different scenario

Klesla was suspended for a dirty hit before as well. I don't think the NHL lets him off with only a fine

wasn't that a long time back?

I don't think they are going to hold a 2 game suspension over 5 years ago against him as a repeat offender type

I'm guessing 1 game .... in the regular season that type of hit has gotten 3 .......... although when weber only gets a fine for spiking peoples heads off the glass (twice) you start to hope that this will only be a fine

Will see soon enough

No league call for Ovi, and I would bet that Giroux gets no call either, but we will see... Just frustrated.

Guys, he boarded someone. Remember Krys Kolanos' career ending on a similar play? Just because some others have gotten away with similar hits doesn't mean that he shouldn't be punished. Anything over one game would have been complete crap, but one game isn't.

Get used to stars getting more respect than others. It happens in the MLB, NBA and NFL.

one game is livable. Once they close it out tomorrow night, it'll be like he was never gone :D

Well, Giroux got a game with Philly down 3-1, so some stars are indeed being penalized. As long as there is consistency, I am fine with suspensions.

Up 1-0 in the second period and Smith has made some unbelievable saves. The Predators have been the aggressor this period but you can see they are getting frustrated. Had a couple of open net chances but failed.

Hanzal scores to make it 2-0! Coyotes got lucky no call against Brule.
