I understand that all the preseason hype wil surround Kaepernick & Wilson, but Palmer's numbers will easily surpass anyone in the NFCW. I will go out on a limb & say that Palmer will make the Pro Bowl this year. Obviously, the Niners & Hags have very good squads, but I really, really think that Kaepernick & Wilson will take a step backwards this year. The Cardinals will fly under the radar & CP will throw for 4500 yds & 30 tds! We may not make the playoffs, but we'll be on the cusp. Our Offense will surprise many. I really don't see our D taking a step backwards. If we can get to the playoffs, we can be a threat.

Love the optimism and I won't be one to shoot it down. I think CP will be playing on the best talent-wise team he's ever played on so anything is possible.

Also the same guy who said the Cards were crazy to fire Whisenhunt and that last seasons debacle was the result of all the injuries.

But in this case I think he's right. Palmer is going to make a huge difference. He's light years better than what we've had the last 3 seasons.

Now it does bother me that a group of offensive coaches blew up a really good defense. But hey, the Car_s made the playoffs two years in a row.

Note: once TC starts the DJ jinx sets in so there won't be anymore praise for Palmer from me. :D

I'm drunk on koolaid as far as Palmer goes, but if you think he's beating out Rodgers and Breese to make the Pro Bowl you're crazy. He may not even be the best QB in our division, let alone the NFC.

It's hot and bright here in Phoenix, the kool-aid is flowing and the shades are on.

I live in PHX too.. I think your lying to me.. I don't know one Cards fan here losing their mind for Palmer.. It is what it is.. We all feel it is an upgrade.. But to say he is Warner reincarnated is just silly talk..

Im in the streets.. Talking to real people face to face.. Not on the CPU..

With the type of offense Arians is planning on calling there's no reason why CP won't have lots of yards.

Best in the division? Who knows. The jury is still out on Kaepernick and Wilson.

Palmer may not even be the 3rd best QB in the division. Bradford still has a lot of talent and could turn it around. He won't beat out RGlll, Brees, and Rodgers for the pro bowl. The pro bowl is a hype thing and RGlll the best hype thing in the NFL when he playing.

Who would want Warner reincarnated? I'd like to see the Cards do better than 10-6, the Cards best regular season record in 5 years with Warner on the roster.

But then 10-6 for Arizona fans is like 14-2 in other NFL cities.

Palmer could always throw the ball with anybody. The key will be how many hits he'll have to endure in Arians downfield passing offense.

I agree that Wilson and Kaepernick may take steps back this year. Look at how Newton struggled early on last year. Both teams/QB's now have great expectations and much more pressure on them this year to go along with an off season of DC's looking at game film on their play.

I think Bradford may be the sleeper. He has little pressure on him. Too bad he has no receivers and has not looked all that good in the past. He does have some talent though.

Not sure what kind of year that CP will have, but do think that there is plenty of reason for optimism. The media, for the past two years have been down on him, and I couldn't believe the season (yds/td/int) he had last year. And most would say he was playing on a bad team. Of course people will say he's playing on a bad team this year, also, and point to the offensive woes of last year's Cardinals team. And naturally mention the 58 sacks allowed. As a fan I'm not looking back but looking ahead. Like I said there is plenty of reason for optimism..

Disagree about Bradford. He's the longest tenured starting QB in the division, and the highest paid one at that; yet, he's shown very little progress since his rookie season. Many are saying this is a "do or die" year and if he doesn't finally figure it out, he's toast. IMO, he has the most pressure of any QB in the division.

When ANY Cardinal coach gets us to another SB, you can re-open your pie hole. If Whiz had a real GM, things could have been much different. My biggest criticism of Whisenhunt was his reluctance to get rid of Grimm. But then again, Arians LOVES Grimm too! I'm optimistic more because of Keim than anything. For all we know, Arians as a HC may be as big a blowhard as Buddy Ryan was.

I agree Kaep will take a step back (ESP with Crabtree injury) and Bradford is a never was IMO.

But Russell Wilson is a Demi God at QB. Kid is the truth as much as pains m to say it. He's a combo of Peyton Manning Brain, Bree's accuracy, Newton wheels, and Jerry Rice work ethic. You should read the stories about him this offseason. Kid is the truth and should be a Top 5 QB easy this year.

Now might Palmer have better stats? I could see that although doubt it.

IMO our best hope is that Wilson's small frame and running around pocket makes him a big injury risk. Now that I could see.

But from a skills/brains/work ethic perspective? Dude is a handful.

But I'll take 2nd best QB in a division with a top 5 guy in a second. light years ahead of last 3 years.

Agree with all of this but Arians has me buying in more and more especially with how players buy in. I wish we could see what Wiz would have done with Kiem as defacto GM last few years. I still think he is a hell of a coach, just a bit stubborn.

Agreed. I'm not sure how people are not on this kid's bandwagon. He has everything except height and I do mean everything. A lot of quarterbacks talk about leadership, Wilson just leads. He's in the Fitz mold in that regard.

Well Palmer is the most experienced QB in the NFCW, I'll give him that.

It's possible that Wilson and Kaepernick take a step back, but it's also possible that they take a step forward with more experience, too.

Bradford? This is the first season the Rams have surrounded him with some weapons and he hasn't had to learn a new offense. Let's see what happens.

I really don't see why people are so quick to believe that both Kaep and Wilson are suddenly going to take steps back. This is a board that pretty much unanimously agrees/hopes that guys like Massie, Johnson and Floyd are all going to take big steps forward in their second years, but two QBs, who are being coached by great coaches are going to take steps backwards and be worse then Palmer who's been average at best his last three seasons?

Will losing Crabtree hurt Kaep? That's a possibility, but he's still got the best O-line in football, Q and Vernon Davis to throw to and a great running game backing him up, not to mention that no matter what QB Harbaugh's put back there, they've been successful. And Wilson literally lost no one on offense and ADDED Harvin.

Palmer will almost certainly be better then what we've had for the last three years, but people were saying this exact same stuff about Kolb when we got him.
