lol - i didnt read the article yet but was it real bad or something? Pretty strong comments for a robot.

I don't read his stuff anymore but I came across enough articles he had written to become disinterested. He's kind of a jerk on twitter when you interact with him.. comes across as a know-it-all.
I remember a while back I read an article of his (around 1-2 years ago) where he had misspelled player names and even had the first name of a few players wrong.
I read stuff like that, or where they sound like they're just yapping in their article with no real knowledge and I get turned off from reading any further items.
Not a big fan of fan based opinion pieces either. its mostly just fluffing up ASFN posts

Personally, I don't have a problem with articles written on Bleacher, or any other "fan based" content. That's one of the reasons I read this site every single day. I've written for Bleacher, for about a year, awhile back. The only reason I stopped was that they insisted I use a lot of slides, which is a turnoff for me. I'd rather write articles.
Having said that, this is new media. The majority of information on the net, from Bleacher to twitter, is user-generated. The old media can't be trusted, after all the plagiarism in the NY times over the past few years, and now there's actually a huge plagiarism scandal in the poetry community. These are famous writers and poets stealing user generated content, not the other way around. If anything, for me, it's the old guard stealing ideas and content and scraping to make a living rather than focusing on the product they're writing about.
There are people on here that I'd rather read an article from than some of the most reputable people in the business. Nobody knows the Cardinals like you guys, let's not pretend like <insert national media name> knows more about our team than the die-hard fans. So it's a mixed bag for me. Regarding spelling mistakes and bad sentences and such, as someone wrote earlier, I won't read that either, but it only takes a sentence or two to make that determination. By undermining fan-generated content you only hurt yourself--Bleacher and most of those sites would be better off, as would the rest of us, if some of you wrote for them instead of complaining.

I agree with a lot of what you said and I have written for things in the past and even attempted to get my own fan blog going, but, it became more of a task than a hobby and I enjoyed it less as it kept going.
I've considered starting again this offseason but the thought of watching the game to re-watch it and do hard analysis makes me realize I don't have the time for that with a wife, daughter, and normal 9-5 job and side work at home.
I agree though.. I've seen on sites like this and others there are some really knowledgeable guys that should be writing!
