No reason to throw in a first rounder. Ugh.

Non-lottery first rounder >>>Cam Johnson/Bridges
I was just about to post this. James Jones gets raked over the coals again. He really needs to be moved to director of player relations. We need a GM who knows what the heck he's doing.
Doesn’t matter. Given Paul’s contract, there was no reason to include a first rounded or Cam/Bridges. They should have held out.
Depends on the protections on the pick. The Suns gave up a first round pick as well. Bad...bad... bad.
I'm thinking the 2022 draft is a double draft.
Maybe yes, maybe no. What if OKC never blinked? WE ARE FINALLY RELEVANT AGAIN! (and we didn't give up Cam/Bridges. This is a win.

Would you rather they throw in Bridges/Johnson?
We agree about Rubio although that's not to say drafting an understudy like Kira Lewis wouldn't be a good idea.

The 2022 draft will be a deep draft. Jones blinked and it cost the Suns big time.
It was a bad trade to begin with.
Then they don’t blink and keep Paul’s large contract.
I will be surprised if there isn’t. Should be at a minimum lottery protected, but could maybe go as high as top 20 protected in 2022.I doubt there’s any
I would rather they give nothing other than Oubre, Rubio and Jerome, or else not make the trade at all. That would at least have been fair, albeit risky. To throw in Lecque plus an unprotected pick in the double draft is just sheer lunacy.
