I did not predict the Cardinals to win in Jax, but I didn't predict a loss, either. The Cards were unpredictable LAST year. A lot of folks reacted to week 1 as if we were a 14-2 team that suddenly lost its identity. We've also lost a number of games to the Niners in recent years that I think we should have won. The Cards also won in the playoffs on the road when they'd been totally written off.

The Cards never used to have the ability to [emphatically] win a statement game. They do now. I'll still always be cautious about predictions since I've been conditioned as a Cards fan. But I won't count them out...

I'll take a wing. I did question Warners ability. He can still run the other 10 in right direction. Hold the ball Rubber hands Wells!

I'm going to pass on the crow.

I didn't think Warner was washed up last week and I don't think he's the best QB in the league this week either.

My take is that, unlike the previous off-season, this year he spent a little too much time concentrating on things that had little to do with football, and the rust showed during pre-season and the niner game. Hopefully the rust got blown off in practice this past week and yesterday showed that we're now off to the races.

At some point in time, a 38 (or 39, or 40) year old QB is going to reach the end of the line, but Warner has defied a lot of the conventional wisdom over the years, so perhaps he'll defy these odds also. So I'm not going to invest a bunch of my time and effort into predicting when the wheels are going to fall off, I'm just going to enjoy the ride until they do.

Kurt has never been mobile and has thrived on accuracy and intelligence not on a 100 mile an hour fastball. As long as he stays healthy, and his kids let him get plenty of sleep, and his wide receivers stay healthy and happy, and the O-line blocks like they did Sunday, he should be OK for a year or two IMO.

All I know is the failed 'David Garrard Experiment" is coming to a quick end. Never liked him at ECU and couldnt understand all the hype on this guy.

Garrard was carrying that team on his back. What more could he have done without more help but catch the ball he was throwing. They dropped a ton on him.He almost made it a 7 point game with plenty of time to go.

Don't jump on Garrard when our guys could'nt bring him down many times due to his strength like the old Titan qb who played in the SB and was shot & killed. They are both super talented. He even lost 20 lbs to be even more mobile and run more.

I can't fault Garrard for what I personally saw on that field. He's all man.

Yet you love Pat White? LMAO.

I personally think Pat White is not an NFL player. Not enough speed for the NFL. Not enough of a passer. Not big enough. If Pat has half the career Garrard does then I owe you a beer my friend.

He speaks for me.

But its likely the next bad game from Warner I will assume the ride is over and be calling for Matt....again :)

More evidence that we should do this more often: Last year during the Jets game ASFN posters were calling for Warner's head after a less than stellar first half and saying that Leinart should start the 2nd half. Much of the same kind of bashing of Warner we saw here after the recent 49ers game.

So what happens? Warner comes out in the 2nd half and throws for close to 370 yards and 2 TDs.

The next two games combined Warner goes 55-72 with 4 TD passes in wins over the Bills and Cowboys. Then after the bye week he goes on the road to Carolina and is 36-51 for 391 yards and 2 more TD passes. The first in a string of 5 consecutive 300+ yard games for Kurt.

Looks like Stout's thread might put us back in the Super Bowl.

I live somewhere
they say "everytime your teams looses you think there worst then they are and every time they win you think they are better then they really are." I think the same applies here. the Jaguars made so many mistakes that made us look better then we really are and in the niners game we had so many WR out that it made us look worst then we really are. I honestly have no idea whats gonna happen sunday. Hopefully a red bird win though.
