Gotta hand it to you man... Thought you had a winner there. The 9ers actually outplayed the Saints and should've won that game. And I can't believe I just typed that sentance!! ;)

Well living in Vegas, I really only hoped the Niners "came close to winning", as in within 5.5 points. :)

...and I can believe you typed that either! :D

I don't like booing your own team. Others in the stands do, however, and I expect it on Sunday.

Cardinal fans have ALWAYS had a quick trigger on BOOO's.

Dude these are the fans boo'd Dan Dierdorf when he mentioned the Bidwills at his ring of honor ceremony, lol. I'll never forget DD, lol

"I dont know how you can boo when your team is leading at halftime of monday night football but oh well."

It wont take a game, if there is 1 or 2 series of incompletions or 3 and outs not only will there be boos, but there will be "WE WANT MAX" chants too.

I will not be participating.

Sorry, but I don't buy this. Any fan who would boo their own QB in their own house is just showing poor sportsmanship. It's like when the fans were booing ML during a pre-season game. Not a good thing to do.

i pay money to watch my team win, if you suck I will boo you.

I really hope the boo birds don't go there. There is no amount of boos from the crowd that will factor in Whiz's choice on QBs. I might moan, shrug, or throw my hands up in the air a couple times. But I will hope his every throw finds the receiver, and be happy when it does. It would have to be really ugly.

Would another 2-17 performance do it for you?

Shaun King didnt have 1 snap in a real game and he was boo'd as he came in. If that deserved boo's DA deserves 10 fold when they come out of the tunnel.

Booing the team you claim to be a fan of is stupid. It's the height of ignorance! No matter how badly someone or some team is playing no one plays with the intent to lose.

Boo the refs, boo the other team, there's never a reason to boo the team you allegedly support! If you feel that much animosity towards them, why continue to support them? Find a team you can feel good about supporting.

I recall our fans cheering when our starting QB got hurt on a play and Jake came in. I thought that was sure a lousy display of sportsmanship to cheer any hurt player where he is on your team or the other team. I think it was Graham who got hurt that day?

Maybe you haven't noticed the "Quality" of the individuals who show up to Cardinals games. I'd say about 30% are too drunk to even remember who the Cards are playing or are fresh out of Tent City and are looking for trouble. Those types of characters would boo their own mothers.

Boos are certainly appropriate if the team is not providing value to the fans. Paying hundreds of dollars to attend a suck fest is deserved of boos.

If DA throws 11 consecutive incompletions he deserves boos.

Now if the team is playing at a high level during a season and has one bad game, boos are not in order.

As long as you're not driving or endangering anyone booze is always warranted! :)

I can guarantee this

in fact -- you will hear a murmuring of discontent with the first poorly thrown ball that is incomplete

I agree 100%

anyone who's a season ticket holder knows...they'd rather not hear it...but if he's not getting the job done...the fans will 'boo' and it'll get loud.

you allegedly support!

That is exactly why they are allowed to boo.

If you buy a Hamburger and it is of poor quality are you not allowed to show your displeasure?

Disagree WHOLEHEARTLY. So much so, I had to capitalize it. You have every right to boo and if you feel negatively, then show it.

Allegedly support? How insulting. How dare you or anyone else criticize how I want to support my team.

I support my children, but I will be all over them too if they do something wrong or don't give their best effort.

After one time? You have never had a hamburger that wasn't exactly made "your way", right the first time, then went back. "They put mustard on my burger I am never going back again" And Guess what if DA goes out and throws an INT he just put mustard on my hamburger and I am going to let them know I did not ask for Mustard.:mulli:

The point remains, why aren't you allowed to show your dissatisfaction for a bad product that you paid for, whether it is the first time or the 10 time why does it matter, you voice your allowed displeasure regardless. Even if you make the decision to never go back again why aren't you allowed to voice displeasure for the exact reason why you wont ever showed up again?

This makes no sense at all! Based on this logic, I would expect that you never do any of the following (since they are symbolically representative of 'booing'):
1. Throw your hands up in frustration when the team performs poorly (imagine if the team were to see you... they would be devistated with your lack of blind faith...).
2. Say anything other than, "Well shucks boys... we'll get them next time (while snapping your fingers)" when they screw up
3. Posting anything on a message board other than blind/positive reinforcement of the things the team has done. (aka - never offer an honest opinion if it could be deemed as 'critical' of the team)

I never said that no one has a right to boo! Of course, you have that right. And I have a right to my opinion which is that behavior is boorish and ignorant.

Booing the team you support is counter productive. It emboldens the opponent and more than likely has the opposite impact to the players it's directed towards.

dcr, you mentioned correcting your children - of course, but if you were to jeer at your child or repeatedly call them a ********, I don't think you would be accomplishing the impact you are hoping to get. A more proven child rearing technique is positive reinforcement.

Re: the restaurant, I'm not sure the analogy holds up, but...

In a restaurant, sure I'll let them know if there is something wrong with the meal. And the direct impact is that they attempt to remedy it. Or you could be getting a burger with a loogie on it! (Ever heard tales from restaurant kitchens?)

I don't believe there is ever any direct or indirect improvement to a sports team due to the crowds booing. When a team lays an egg, they know it (listen or read Adrian Wilson's comments from the last week, if you don't think so.) They don't play to suck! Booing simply demeans their efforts.

fball13 - your post is nothing but hyperbole.

Bottom line, if a franchise is continuously putting a bad product on the field that is a result of ownership. There is only one way to impact or get a message across to ownership - that's their bottom line!

I'm never going back to Five Guys. Horribly overpriced, burger on par with In N Out for twice the cost, fries are bland and the cajun fries are bland with shake on them.

I don't have to go again to know they overhyped.

So yeah, they effed up my burger.

I agree ! I went there after being told by several friends how great the burgers were. I asked before hand, "how do they stack up against a Chuckbox burger?" and I was tol by all, "as good or better"! Lies! F that place!
