This may be it for me. I cannot remember feeling so despondent about a loss, for so many reasons--not the least of which is having the cup brushed from the lips twice on flukes and crappy officiating....

This is the worst for me. Twice we HAD the game and the Laker went for hacking strategy and the refs bailed them out. You can't tell me in any other games the refs don't call a foul.

Doesn't hurt as bad as "Paxon" but it's very close.

At least that wasn't a blown call or the refs fault...but that did hurt, I agree.

the steal in regulation was clean. nash slipped, parker slapped the ball away. i didn't see a foul there. i'll give you one in OT. i thought nash got hacked but the lakers got away with that one. someone besides nash should have been screaming for a timeout though.

oh jeez you are right that just hurt again.

This team really had no chance in the WCF anyway there are too many regular season heros on the team right now. I hope foamy makes some changes, hell we changed a WCF 62 win team last season there is no reason this team of soft minded players should come back 100% in tact.

I did blame that regulation one on Nash...he shouldn't have turned...they needed to foul him, so he should have seen what was up first.

But still, that is a tough situation for him...Parker made a good play.

Damn him.

well the first one diaw made another marginal pass putting nash in a bad situation on the second one Nash also should have kept driving the middle, he dribbled into a bad situation, it was almost leandroesque.

This wasn't anyway near as devastating as paxson/elie, or what other teams have suffered horry vs. detroit, horry vs. kings, fisher vs. spurs.. because even if the suns won this game their chances of winning the series were 50/50, this happened early in the playoffs, and most importantly the suns weren't gonna win the nba title this postseason no matter what happened.

All those other big shots happened late in th playoffs, and if those shots didn't happen, the team on the other side of the shot could have/would have won an nba title.

The outcome of this game was really disgusting.

I've never seen a game this badly officiated down the stretch.

Kobe,Odom and Brown gets to the line if you breath on them, and we have to basically get body slammed in the air before we can get a call in the paint.

I can't fault our guys if they just gave up after this loss.

Good point, and though those losses were before my Suns era, when put in sequence with this loss, they become an epic whole, as part of an ongoing, um, curse/blight/fate. What have the Suns done to annoy the basketball gods? It seems scripted and mean....that said, I had no illusions about this team making it very far this year. But this game made the season mean something beyond a simple loss....

Yep, that's the worst ever for me. Then the double OT loss in Boston killed us, too. This one wasn't as bad because the Suns have been sucking eggs this series up to this point. If they had lost after playing really well all series, it would hurt more to me. I expected them to lose before tip off the way they have been playing. :(

Paxtons shot and the 3 overtime loss to Boston hurt more. I thought we could get past the 1st round but they have been doing it with mirrrors. I remember watching the gold medal game in Munich which is the last time I saw such calls. This is the way ABC wanted it
