Interesting. His previous tweet talked about can't listen to rumors. This was just a few minutes ago.

Very interesting. I’m increasingly being convinced that he’s not going to be on the team this year.

That could just mean a whole new coaching staff and system??? And it would be entirely accurate...

Patrick Peterson was just on with Bickley and said that he heard that TM was being mentioned in trade rumors. While PP thought the notion of that is ludicrous, he said that TM is in a good, happy place with his family.

As we all sense, the elephant in the room is TM's contract. Something has to give. And if he is traded a new deal would have to be agreed to by the team who trades for him and TM's agent. No team is going to inherit the current contract.

Rule #1 of Athlete Twitter: Don’t read too much into cryptic tweets. Sometimes, they’re talking about relationships or putting out rap lyrics. Could mean a lot of things other than football.

Sometimes people forget that athletes are people who like to be passive aggressive with other people on social media too.

He is due a $5M roster bonus in about a month. His contract needs to be renegotiated or he is gone IMO.

This is reminding me too much of the Anquan Boldin situation...ugh.

I don't think they are similar. Boldin was angry because he believed that Management promised to take care of him with a new contract that he never received.

HB got his new mega contract and he hasn't lived up to it.

let's say for a moment that this tweet was directed at the cards.

he was known buddies with BA, with a new coach his loyalties to the cards may be tested. he not be willing to take a pay cut for the new regime. similar to the john brown situation "i earned my spot" mentality. this won't end pretty if so.

then again, he could be talking about all the construction on the 101

TM put it on the line for the Cards and will go forward the rest of his life with the aftermath of two major knee injuries. Don't blame him for not wanting to budge off his contract.

Hope he has the same kind of return to health that Thomas Davis of the Panthers had---bad injuries and now playing at a high level again.

I recall a play this season with HB blitzing the QB and the screen pass went to the RB---HB turned and trailed the play and ended up assisting on the tackle 20 yards down the field.

Whatever happens with TM---always a fan of the Honey Badger and the way he played for the Cards.

What makes you say he hasn’t live up to it?

I think he's gone. I can't see the Cards keeping him at his current contract and he already said he's not taking a paycut. If he was playing like his old self I think they find away to keep him, but he's not. We have a Budda that is playing for 1.5 mil and is already better than TM. If he gets his signing bonus next month then he will be here at least three more years.

What is remaining on TM's contract? Money and years wise, I thought this was the last year backloaded?

Loved HB almost as much as I did Fitz, but he ain't the same guy and that contract is too much for what he brings to the table at this point.

Disagree. Both situations are where a player was drafted low, and exceeded expectations. Both players were rewarded with new contracts. Years later a disagreement between perceived value and production leads to a messy separation between a fan favorite, leader of the team, and the organization.

ACL injuries are such a bummer...

Clearly impacting him still. He was unreal in 2015.

I don't pay much attention about FA trade rumors, because trying to predict arrivals or departures is close to impossible.

That said - It seems to me that, in years where there's a lot of trades and FA movement, the Cardinals typically wind up with the short end of the stick.

Neither is the new regime. He has to rework the contract, no doubt. If he won't?
