Why not trade Shaq and Barnes, for Howard and Stackhouse We would be saving around $3.5 million for another player around the league with #1Stat

Its much better than any of the Amare deals.

This one and Nash to Portland for Bayless, Aldridge and Lafrentz and you are looking at a young team that isn't a contender but can grow into one.
Bayless-Richardson-Howard-Amare-Aldridge
Bench: Barbosa, Stackhouse, Barnes, Hill, Dragic, Lopez..

Cuban Denies Shaq Rumors

By Uriah Stolkur, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 20 mins ago

With the NBA trade deadline approaching, the Phoenix Suns have been mentioned as a potential partner for many teams. One of those rumors has the Suns sending All Star center Shaquille O'Neal to the Dallas Mavericks for Josh Howard. Marc Cuban was spotted in Phoenix on Friday, but according to him it was to take in the All Star Festivities rather than discuss any sort of trade. "While a trade for Shaq would make sense from a basketball sense," Cuban explained, "when I discovered that ASFN poster Andrew would start posting on my blog, I had to end any possible trade talks."

That lineup would be huge! If we could dump Barnes it's even better!

LOL. Why would the TrailBlazers trade Bayless (their future PG), Aldridge (already a stud and is only 24), and LaFrentz (who cares?) for Steve Nash (an old washed up PG who can't play defense).

The Trailblazers wouldn't accept this trade for Amare, why would they do it for Nash?

They are looking for an elite PG, POR considers Nash an elite PG as they inquired about him, if PHX plays run and gun and rids themselves of Shaq, Steve may return to his old form, that is why the trade for Amare didn't go down. PHX has said Nash is untouchable so we aren't even considering trades for him anyway.
