the Cardinals found Chris Jacke off the street in week 13 of the 1998 season and he went on to kick game winners in the last three games of the year at the Gun.

teams find kickers throughout seasons. It’s not unheard of. Especially when your own kicker is one of, if not THE worst in the league.

I've been a huge Zane defender, but honestly I'd take an UDFA kicker right now.

I'll still say he was not completely responsible for the losses where he missed kicks. We lost those games on poor coaching decisions and penalties, IMHO.

A lot of that poor coaching was going conservative to play for a FG, though.
