The way Williams, Taylor and even Grice played in the preseason, it is going to be a tough decision here. Granted it was the preseason, but Williams showed he can make some runs last season.

THat's just it, people look at him and think he's not a short yardage guy, not big enough, not a RB not fast enough. But since he's been on the team he's been the most effective short yardage runner we've had, including Hughes.

I kept saying it all last year and this year, Hughes looks great in shorts and a tank top or walking through the airport, but Taylor is a better player. He's even a better blocker, if you're trying to be the only FB on the roster at least block well, Hughes doesn't.

I don't know if it's final, we could still claim someone else and cut Step or Kerwynn but IMO both guys are better players than Hughes and given how infrequently we use a FB, cutting Hughes made sense.

Oh I never thought Hughes had a chance, but I'm not a huge Stephan Taylor fan, but its pretty clear that Taylor has some redeeming qualities.

Taylor is the best pass pro RB on the roster, hands down. Not to mention a very good special teamer. That's why he has been, and is, a lock. Maybe he does some short yardage situations too, but that's not why he will make the roster.

Barkley will be the Cardinals' third-string quarterback. Carson Palmer is the starter, and Drew Stanton is his backup. Rookie Phillip Sims tweeted that he had been cut Friday, and Logan Thomas, a fourth round pick in 2014, was also cut, a source told ESPN.
