All of a sudden Houston has a crowded backcourt

Derek Anderson
David Wesley
Moochie Norris
Jon Barry
Charlie Ward
Mike James
Luther Head
and
Bobby Sura

I say use part of the TE for Sura.

The Lakers have also signed Aaron McKie and the Nets have signed Tractor Traylor.

That would be awesome if everyone agreed to it. I like Sura a lot. Unfortunately, I don't see Houston giving him up, since he's still the best PG on their roster by a wide margin.

Actually, even Ward wouldn't be too bad. Houston may well just cut him outright if they can't get anything for him in a trade. Ward has a lousy reputation, but it's undeserved, in my opinion; when given the opportunity, he has put up respectable (if mediocre) numbers.

If the Suns would make a call to Houston I believe the only target would be Sura. If they don't want to move him, so be it. I think the acquistion of Mike James proved to be good for them as well last season, so Sura could be moved. Long shot but what the hell. I do think that they used a first round draft choice on Luther Head for a reason and will want to get him some time.

Hey, you might be on to something.

Their backcourt is very old, maybe they would interested in taking Barbosa.

Can Charlie Ward even play anymore? I thought he got sold short years ago, but I haven't really seen him do anything in a couple years.

Sura would be nice as long as he could stay healthy. It looks like Houston is actually in decent salary shape next season. Even after they extend Yao Ming they should have some money left to spend, especially if they shed a couple guys like Bob Sura and/or Mike James.

If I'm Bryan Colangelo I'm holding on to most of that trade exception until I see what happens with the team.
