And what about his 7 other clients who also settled?
I'm sure Boras will claim collusion, but his BS has to stop. Only a fool would argue the pay scale for athletes is not a joke. How is 25M a year a good deal and not a joke? that's still more than 1M a start. To think this does not result in a night at the park for a family of 4 costing $500 is a clown show. This cratering economy cannot support that.

Wow! When put that way, one mil a start! Unthinkable to me and my poor retirement pay.

Now get Gallen to leave Boras.

Boras completely misread the market.

BTW, with his bad season, we're stuck with von at over $20 million next year.

The D-backs and left-hander Jordan Montgomery have agreed to a contract, reports ESPN. It's a one-year deal worth $25 million, according to the Arizona Republic, and Montgomery gains a $20 million player option with 10 starts. The 2025 salary rises to $22.5 million with 18 starts and $25 million with 23 starts.

No way he declines it. He's at 16 starts currently.

DBacks will pay about $5 million per win going forward (Montgomery is toast, just like he was in St. Louis) and untold bazillions in losses from this signing. Not Hazen's finest moment.

You should hope not. He has a players option that he will certainly exercise.
