He has good hands and is a rather large man. Speed isn't his forte but he keeps improving on his blocking and he is a very large man.

Yeah I was dead wrong on him, thought he was going to be nowhere near ready to produce but he looks like he can. Work in progress to be sure but I was impressed today.

It was nice to have a playmaker at the TE position today.

He's not here to be a burner, but get him in the open field and let him run. As we saw today it's like trying to tackle a bulldozer.

His 82 yards today were the most by a Cardinal TE since 1989. Wow...that's a ridiculous stat.

Outstanding first game. The bull at TE is a key for our offense. Look forward to seeing more in the weeks ahead.

that really is ridiculous. 82 yards is the best performance by a TE in a QUARTER-CENTURY.

Nice to see it though. Kid played a great game.

Crazy stat. :|

The last Cardinals tight end with more yards receiving was Rob Awalt, who had 105 against Dallas on Nov. 12, 1989.

It's been so long that his name has changed from Rob to Roy.

Nice catch. I just copied and pasted from an article.

IIRC, we had two decent TE's in Jay Novacek and Rob Awalt...and both ended up on the Cowboys. Bleh.

So we agree, he's not fast and is a very large man. :)

:thud:

That's scary bad and it took a TE who runs a 4.9 forty :D to make it happen. I love what Fells brings to the table and he is a good story. That long gain was all about the play call and then down field blocking by Gresham.

He ran a good route and made a nice catch on the TD reception so Fells will start to get the opposing DC 's attention.

How many times did Lynch and that other dude call him 'Daniel' Fells?

Well, that's not so bad...His brother Daniel does play for the Giants...and talked him into playing football in the first place.

It's not like they just made up a name, like Antron.

We won, he had a nice game, but I can't help but laugh at this. Didn't wanna put it in the thread about his catch.
