WOW!

I genuinely say WOW.

Great news, and the absolute last news I expected.

I give sincere kudos to the Cardinals front office for this move.

WOW!

Are you shocked? :D

Calais and now D-wash.

Imagine how well this team could do with a 'real' GM.

this team has seriously turned it around as far as being proactive in negotiations with their young studs. Stoked to see this!

No doubt. It's also good to see that younger players with extraordinary careers ahead of them like Larry Fitzgerald, Darnell Dockett (twice!), Calais Campbell, and now Daryl Washington have committed to this franchise for what really is a market price.

These guys don't seem to feel "punished" by being with the organization to begin their careers, and are happy to stay here. Negotiations haven't been contentious and no one has felt imprisoned by their time with the team.

It's a great leap forward into the present of the majority of the league.

That giant picture messed up the thread formatting.

And, along with what K9 said, does this mean the Cards stopped charging the players for socks and Gatorade?

No you can have free socks, or free gatorade, but if you want both it costs you.l

But I think you can trade sox for gatorade.

LOVE it. This trend of getting stuff done before the 11th hour has been great to see. Washington is a beast on the field and a super nice guy off it that I'm stoked to have around for years to come. Really fits the direction the team has been trying to move lately

Nice!

Hopefully management won't let all this young talent spoil...now its time to give up a barrel of #1 picks & get a franchise QB!!!

Thought this would eventually happen. Didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I guess we should thank Adrian Wilson for this. Redoing his contract most likely freed up the money to give to Washington.
