Ok so no one here wants to say it or I have yet to see it. But DA sucks!!!! I dont care about numbers or the pathetic excuses about the O-Line. He is horrible. How in the world does a NFL caliber QB make Fitz look bad??? Breatson saved his tail many times catching balls that were behind him and still finding a way to get YAC. He looks like a rookie, he made Bradford look like the Vet today. His quick wit and fun loving personality wont win games. If you look at the stats on D there is no way this game should have been this close, no way!!! This win is probably the first win I can remember where the 20 + people at my house all felt dread for the rest of the season.

I have no answers but had to vent. I love my Cardinal/AFSN family, but I think we are in for a rollercoast ride like we have not seen since Jeff Blake.

Anderson is awful plain and simple. There is no sugar coating it. If we win the division with this clown it will be by default. He was horrid today.

Give him at least a chance to develop some chemistry with Fitz.

Chemistry or not it was the RAMS...not a good team (not yet anyway but their future looks bright).

Chemistry doesn't excuse how bad some of those throws were.

I was not impressed, but I will keep posting this on every DA bashing thread until some one proves me wrong...Isn't he the only QB with a winning record as the starter for the AZ Cardinals?

Well, he didn't have any turnovers. History says that won't continue. But, if he does somehow keep those to a minimum he will keep the job this year.

Meh...he came around at the end and made the throws when we needed him to. Lets lose a few before we start calling for the guy's head.

Which means I am not really a huge fan of his day, but we did win.

I saw a guy get pummeled today if his first start with a new team, and get a game winning score in the 4th quarter. Was not a perfect performance, but I didn't see anything today that makes me think DA sucks.

He had a huge turnover. Breaston just happened to save him with the strip on the return. Not to mention a couple passes that really should have been picked off, and probably will be against better teams.

I just loved the fact the rams have a player whose name sounds like "Bu-gine-ah". Hearing the announcers say Stafford was trying to get balls deep to Bugina was just awesome :biglaugh:

His stats don't tell the story, he looked terrible out there at times. Terrible.

But he got the win, is 1-0 as the starter, we are tied for the division lead and he's got room for improvement. He's also learning a new offense, and new teammates.

I won't be throwing him under the bus. Warner had some gawd awful games for us, even during the super bowl season. Win games, win hearts.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one.

Ok, he sucks beyond all hope. We'll never win again as long as he's on the roster.

No, Jay Schroeder had a winning record as starter for the Cards in Arizona.

Last thing I noticed was that we won.

While there's no denying that DA had accuracy issues and found it difficult to deliver passes on time and on target when under pressure, there were several times where he did make those throws (for example, hitting Fitz for the winning TD while throwing on the move).

He figures to improve (a) as he gets to know his receivers better, (b) when his offensive line doesn't occasionally allow pass rushers to come unblocked up the middle and (c) with the Millers constantly on his ass about footwork and other mechanics.

Note -It's a lot easier to be receptive to being coached-up after a win than it is when you're on the defensive after a loss.

That said - we'll need better play from DA if we're going to remain a
contender.

So his one for 9 stretch didn't make you think that the guy was bad?

What about how we had more three and outs in the first half than 2009's worst team in the NFL lead by a rookie quarterback?

Yeah, he was getting beat up, but that shouldn't be unexpected if he watched any Kurt Warner film.

Good quarterbacks don't lose the strike zone altogether for a half of play. 7.2 YPA in that game would match his career high, but over the course of the season would have ranked between Joe Flacco and Jason Campbell.

Against a good secondary, those balls that were nowhere near the receivers will be intercepted.

He started out very well going 9-12 and ended very well on that last td drive. We won he had zero to's. That's good enough for me!

At the end of the day, road wins are hard to come by (just ask the so called almighty 49er's). Anderson definitely left a few things to be desired but there were too many other mistakes (i.e. fumbles by Hightower, Komar, etc...). I am not sure why Komar was in the game so often. Where was Early and Williams?

I wouldn't say that, but after today, I would be surprised by more than six with him as a starter.

If the Cardinals could dump their projected starting quarterback, Matt Leinart, how long before they consider giving rookie Max Hall some reps at quarterback? Look, I know it's early and Anderson finished with a respectable 85.1 rating. He made plays. But he completed only 54 percent of his passes and he repeatedly missed open receivers. Warner would have lit up the scoreboard if he were still the Cardinals' quarterback. Even a reasonably accurate passer would have scored more points for Arizona. Anderson won the game and that's what matters in the end. But there were six or seven times when I wondered what Hall would have done.

His 1 for 9 stretch was in the 3rd quarter when he was forcing the ball to Fitz. It is no coincidence that when he went away from Fitz, we started moving the football and his completion numbers went up. Was trying to force the ball to Fitz a mistake in judgment? Yes, but I would rather have Fitz targeted more rather than less.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
IMO, watching this game, DA ranks below a journeyman quarterback. He's very inconsistent in his passes. Sometimes they look great, other times you wonder just who exactly he's throwing to. Our receivers will go get the ball, but we have to be prepared for injuries, errant passes, and interceptions galore.

When we play a better secondary, there will be multiple picks against DA.

He's not going to win games for us. The best we can hope for is that he won't lose them either, but I wouldn't put much money on that.
