Meh...he came around at the end and made the throws when we needed him to. Lets lose a few before we start calling for the guy's head.

This is what I saw.

Not sure what his 2nd half numbers were, but they were probably acceptable, and he made the play that put us in the lead.

He stood in the pocket like a man too.

I'm not saying we're going to win 12 games this year. But it seems possible he could play at a high enough level to win the division.

This is a rebuilding year for us, so eight wins will be good, and anything over that will be a bonus.

Really tough to believe he's a long term answer at QB though.

I was at the game. DA looked bad. He constantly over/under threw, in front/behind the WR. He had Fitz wide open behind the defense and missed the throw. All the Rams fans were saying the same thing. I give him credit for the TD pass to Fitz though but the rerst of the game he looked aweful.

Most of us Cards fans met again after the game and we were happy with the win but most of us have reservations about the QB.

Because Lyle snapped the ball when DA didn't expect it. Who knows if it was a silent count, but DA didn't utter a sound before that ball was snapped.

Yes and no. DA lifted his foot as a signal that he was ready, then took his eyes off a couple seconds later when Lyle didn't hike it when he thought he would. You usually don't utter any sounds from the shotgun.

As I said, I believe Whis was as responsible for all those attempted throws to Fitz as DA was because he keep calling the plays to go to Fitz.

Right because you don't call plays to your best receiver...this makes no sense, how is Whiz responsible for bad throws? He called plays to Fitz who even at 75% is better than most and he is the no#1 receiver so most plays will have hime as the primary and DA throws the balls nowhere near him. Not Whis's fault that DA can't hit anything although it IS his fault for not seeing this is the first place.

Statistically, today was pretty similar to how DA played during his best year. Frightening, but true.

Yeah... but take a look at his stat line from when he played a better Rams team in that 2007 season.

For those who don't want to click through, he was 18/25 (72%) for 248 yards and 3 TDs. The Rams weren't a good team that season, but they weren't the worst team in the NFL.

The reason people are critical of Derek Anderson is because he was his career average against a pass defense that featured Ronald Bartell and Kevin Dockery as starting cornerbacks.
