I truly believe it is the ultimate barometer which will determine if we have a winning season or not. Not that there aren't lots of games left, but more in the sense that if we can't beat Dallas at home, especially after our showing in the first 2 games, it will show emphatically that we should have no pretense of being a .500 team.

If we beat a slow Cowboy team which appears a bit "distracted" at present, we probably deserve the hope we have of a successful season. If not, that hope is a pipe dream, and worst of all to me, we will once again become irrelevant in the minds of the rest of the pro football community. "Cardinals are up next ... quick, cut to commercial."

Too late.

Mike & Mike had John Gruden on this week to talk Monday night football.

They talked about:

- Lions
- Giants
- Cowboys
- Bears

.........so, they talked about the game the week before, the Cowboys for this weeks game, and then for no reason the Chicago Bears.........ugh, the Cardinals are playing this week guys.

ESPN is obviously jerking off in their socks that they are not "forced" to talk west coast sports, and more specifically the Cardinals this year.

If you are looking for a team that gets recognition then you are supporting the wrong club.

If you want to talk Cardinals outside AZ, then I suggest ASFN, and if you want to here sports radio about the Cardinals then I suggest the KTAR for your phone, because you will get neither anywhere else, and especially not on ESPN, or NFL Network.

At first I thought this thread was dumb....because the Cards aren't much to write home about...but looking at the stats...these two teams are pretty even

Dallas averages on offense
18 points per game
330 total yards
245.5 passing
84.5 running

Cardinals on offense
19.5 points per game
348.5 yards per game
284.5 yards passing
64 yards running

Dallas averages on defense
22.5 points per game given up
306.5 yards per game given up
200 yards passing
106.5 yards running

Cardinals averages on defense
24 points per game given up
316.5 yards per game given up
273.5 passing
79 rushing

I say you are correct...they have no reason to dismiss the Cardinals adding to the fact both games were on the road East coast.

I think the only west coast team they're talking about are the Dodgers.

Or a young over hyped team which will quit as soon as you give them a swift quick in the proverbial nuts... Coach Garrett is soft and his team is too

I hope you are right. But to date this team has not shown the ability to kick anybody in the nuts.
I would love to see Jones and Golden just embarrass that "all world" offensive line and leave Dak in the fetal position sucking his thumb...would make the season for me...truly.

I guess it might come down to who gets kicked first because we have proven over the past 20 games to be as soft as any team in the league.

It would be swell if we beat Dallas so that the bellyaching about poor media coverage sounded less like whining.

I think this is the game we will see what we have. I don't think we played our vets enough in preseason and thought alot of our struggles may have been rust getting knocked off. If we come out flat again I will be concerned we could be in for a long year especially if Palmer and O-lline continue to struggle.

Ha!! Coach Garrett.

I'm amazed how well they hide his puppet strings.
I bet Garrett has absolutely zero power on any decision made by the Cowboys.

I'm just worried that it's not rust and they just are not ready. Hope they kill the cowboys, but I have a feeling they will not start off well and it will come down to the 4th quarter again.
