I kind of spaced out Jason Kidd was coaching the Mavericks now. No wonder Luka seems more annoying this year. Kidd was always obnoxious as a player with his whining as well.

I'm less concerned about the Mavs winning though. Carlisle was a better coach by a significant margin than Kidd. We'll see how things shake out but I'm now thinking Suns in 4.

Why is Booker going to guard Doncic? Everyone says Booker is now a great defender, so surely he can do it...but Bridges can probably do it more easily. Or Jae Crowder. Instead of those two, the Suns are willing to wear down their biggest offensive weapon by making him chase the opponent's best player.

This is an example of what I said puzzles me about the Suns' defense: how it doesn't fully exploit Warden Bridges by always putting him on the opponent's best player.

The Suns switch a lot. I think Mikal Bridges will get guard Doncic a lot along with some double teams.

The Suns will return to their normal lineup with Cam Johnson coming off the bench.
