He wont be our 3rd down RB. that will be Marcell. As good as Damian looks he is doing it against all second team talent. Marcell is still a better RB.

But he IS doing it and I for one am not surprised. He will get some touches as a third down back but Shipp will fill that role primarily. Anderson did an fine job picking up a blitz tonight so he is becoming a well rounded player.

A good find by the Cards in the so-called "trash bin".

I use to HATE this guy.............that's because he ran all over my Illinois team..we lost about 66 to 0.......BUT i am loving him now that he is on our Cardinal team.

No doubt he is special. He has the moves, cuts well, has the speed great 2nd gear and he has patiance as his line setr up his run, sees an opening and gone! He has done this now 4 or 5 times scince last years Carolina game. He is no surprise anymore he can flat out play.

Anderson is the hands down 3rd RB. Scobey had his best game. He also has a couple had nice kick returns in the prseason.
Still, I'm hoping they do not waive Joshua Rue. He's an animal at FB. Might be that both Scobey and Prentice are waived and one put on the practice squad. I would not chance waiving Rue for potential practice squad - he'd be picked up by someonr quick.
Just wonder who is going to do kick returns - not McAddley.

Honestly, I'm not so sure about Rue. I think Scobey would be more likely to be picked up. RB's are just more of a premium than FB's. Rue has played well, but he's too raw for someone to think he'll fill in right now.

The key may be special teams, what special teams is Rue on? Everyone was screaming about a FB, Paul Shields, being cut two years ago who played very well in preseason. But, he did nothing on special teams.

I agree. I do like Rue. Some of his blocks really were great tonight, but some teams barely even consider the FB a position on their roster. So, I would try to put him on the practice squad.

The Cards running game sure looks a lot better with a FB that can actually block.

How about his 35 yards run where it seemed Anderson was piled up and suddenly he appeared and picked up 35 yards or so!! That was great effort.

Damien Anderson should not be playing special teams.

That is my only point. I see the future as Shipp as the everydown and Damian as the 3rd down guy.
