He's a very good rebounder(8.3 in 22min) and a decent defender who I think would fit great with the suns. He would also allow Marion and Amare to play their natural position. How much do you guys think it would take to get him from the Bucks? I was thinking Barbosa and the 21st pick could get it done.

Gadz is a restricted free agent. If the Bucks actually take Bogut, they might decide not to match even for an MLE. since Zaza Pachulia is also a restricted.

I would rather find a way to get a hold of Francisco Elson instead of these two.

I would like to see him in a suns uniform.
I think he can fit well with this team and grow and get better. He is a young player and can run the floor and is big!

No way I trade Barbosa and the 21st pick for him though. The 21st pick could be a starter, and I am a firm believer that Barbosa is really going to be a player in this league in a year or two.
You can not teach speed, but you can teach him how to distribute the ball.
Also, Barbosa could take over the spot that JJackson has now in another year.

i think that barbosa's role on this team will evolve into a SG slot. he's got amazing speed and can shoot, but he lacks the floor vision to run a team.

he does lack size, but makes up for it with his LONG arms and freakish speed.

Gadzooks, Gadzuric! That is some rebounding rate... 8.3/22 min translates to 18.1/48 which has to be close to tops in the league. 1.31 Blocks/22min is very nice, too.

No doubt there is some reason that Milw is only playing him 22 minutes... I seem to recall there was some question about his durability when the Suns passed on him to take Casey Jacobson but apparently he's capable of 22 minutes per game and that should be enough for the Suns.

Tyson Chandler would probably be a better choice but he'd come with a much higher price tag and his durability is clearly open to question. Francisco Elson looked pretty good in one game against the Suns but his stats are not the least impressive in any category.

I think George has a good idea - if Milw takes Bogut that's a sign they'd let Gadzuric go. I'd guess he'd have a few choices of who to sign with for the MLE but I'd like to see the Suns get into the bidding, just in case he likes the idea of playing for us. He played for UCLA so it might be that warm climates appeal to him (he's from Holland).

If push came to shove I think I'd trade Barbs & #21 for him, assuming Milw wanted to do a sign and trade. Naturally, one has to dig into any health/durability issues. Barbosa has some potential at SG for the Suns but I have my doubts about the Bucks being interested. I'd like to keep him around but my hopes for him are dwindling - the longer he plays the more tentative he seems and he hasn't progressed much as a defender in two years. It could well be that the Suns coaching is responsible for the lack of improvement, but if that's the case why would we foresee great changes ahead.
