I've seen his name mentioned before, but I think Darius Songaila may be the best frontcourt player the Suns could realistically sign. He's coming off ankle surgery that caused him to miss the end of last season, but he's a solid defensive big man with a good jumper. He made $2.2M last year and declined his player option with the Bulls. He'd be available for less than the full MLE, which might work for the Suns, assuming they actually intend to spend any of the MLE.
In 62 games last season, he averaged 9.2 pts, 4.0 rbs, 1.4 ast, 0.3 blk in 21.4 mins, on 48% fg, 82% ft.
Thoughts?
