anybody watch the Iowa/Gtech game last night? The DE from Iowa, Adrian Clayborn #94, reminded me of watching DD.Same body type, same high motor. He was unblockable. I've only seen Iowa play about 4 times this year but the guy has been a beast every time. I never knew his name until last night. They said he's going back to Iowa for his senior year. He may need to re-adjust his thinking and play in Cardinal red next year.

I also thought the left tackle looked good. Cannot remember his name.

Interesting. As I was watching I was thinking that Clayborn might look good as a Cardinals OLB.

That kid certainly knows how to shed blockers...

Bulaga is overrated as a prospect. He's effective in a very particular scheme. He has had a down year compared to his previous efforts.

Clayborn has built himself into a very fine DE and got a chance to shine last night.
His measurable are very much aligned with Dockett's.

His skill set is very different. He doesn't have Dockett's burst off the ball or closing speed. Clayborn is able to deal with stronger tackles by employing muscle. Not to imply Dockett is weak, we know he's a friggin horse, but his game is to get past lineman, not to toss them. Clayborn has the mits to move people.

In terms of skill, he is very much like Calais Campbell.
He's got long-range speed that reminds of C.C.
Clayborn is an outstanding special teams player.
He's humble.

Clayborn has a non-stop motor and is patient when needed.

I think he's a perfect fit as a 3-4 DE who could play in a two or one gap system.
He could be a strongside DE in a 4-3 as well.

I feel the need to share my favorite IA prospect, Tony Moeaki, he's a TE.
He's more than capable of blocking in both phases, in IA's zone scheme he often finds himself responsible for blocking DE's alone.

He may not have elite speed that will make him a household name, but he's a fantastic leaper and has a natural instinct for finding soft spots to wait in patterns. He's got above-average hands.

He's one of the better all around TE prospects.

Clayborn blocked a punt and returned it for a TD in the Penn state game they won. It turned out being the difference in the game if I remember correctly.

The thing I like about Moeaki is the fire in his belly. He seems extremely competitive and brings it every play.

I Follow Iowa....

...And if you look around the NFL you'll see quite a few "Hawkeyes" contributing. Often, they're NOT the Super-Stars just the "parts" that make the engine GO! One thing I really RESPECT about IOWA is you don't see all the hot-dogging. They play in a professional manner. I would luv' to get Clayborn, Angerer, or even Sash if he's eligible this year. For me it's already been an AMAZING year! :)IOWA goes (11-2) and WINS the Orange Bowl! The Cards go (10-6) and WIN the WESTERN DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP. That's a COMBINED (21-8) record!! (21) times this year I've tasted "victory"! Course, (22) would be EVEN better! GO CARDS!! :D
