Love the Bengals taking Eifert... Steelers for yet another year letting the perfect player slip right into their fingertips and being smart enough to take him.. Rams got a difference maker on offense and defense (if Ogeltree stays out of trouble).

Panthers won day 1, hands down.

Vikings would have won day 1 had they stopped after the 2nd pick. They gave up way too much for Patterson.

Cant believe nobodies said this:

The Rams

Tavon - stud

Ogletree - headcase stud

I'm wondering if Floyd was the guy who trashed the hotel room. It had to be something like that to cause him to drop as far as he did.

Vikings may have "won" Day 1 but they sure as hell mortgaged the rest of their draft to do so for Patterson. Unless he turns into Julio Jones, this investment makes no sense. First, who's going to throw them the ball? Ponder? Cassel? Yuck. Second, is Patterson worth four draft picks more than Keenan Allen, Robert Woods, or Terrance Williams? I think Patterson will be productive, but I think Minny gave up way too much to move back into the 1st. Plus, now they have to dish out three 1st round contracts.

The Rams had the best first day, bar none.

Getting Austin and Ogletree was a coup.

Sucks we have to deal with those two for years to come.

Cowboys worst day. 49'rs raked them in the trade. They traded back 13 spots to #31 and only got a 3rd rounder for it. They should have gotten at least a 2nd round pick for that. Then they take a center.

I agree. I was floored by this trade. Especially seeing what the Rams got from the Vikings.

I thought the Raiders had a chance to show off a great draft and moving down, but their pick didn't really make sense. If they didn't want Floyd, Star would have been an excellent value and justified their trade down nicely.

Bills were even worse. Rams gave them a 2nd and 7th to move from #16 to #8 and Bills has to trade spots in the 3rd. Then, they go on to take EJ Manuel.

I was strictly looking at the # of picks received. Bills got a 2nd and 7th to move up 8 spots. 49'rs only gave up a 3rd round pick to move up 13 spots. Jerry Jones was dumb for not getting more. Both picks by the bills and boys were suspect though.

There is a big difference between moving into the Top 10 vs Top 20.

When it comes to making money, Jerry Jones is a genius. When it comes to football, he's a BUFOON. He's the new Al Davis (when Al was reaaly old), and teams now just take advantage of him.

Ok. What about New England receiving 3-4 picks from Minnesota for their late first round pick.

Especially after all the Cowboys got for trading down from #18 to #31---a third rounder, #74.

With all the picks SF has it's amazing the Cowboys couldn't have bargained for more than what they got.

The Pats get 4 picks for 1. A 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th. Unreal.

Now---that said---I think the Pats will have to move back up to take one of the best CBs or WRs. Moving down from #29 to #52 could cost them if they can't trade up....as in being able to draft a CB like Jonathan Banks or Jamar Taylor or a WR like Justin Hunter or Robert Woods.
