I have a feeling we're going to regret not scoring more than two runs in the second

Tough loss.

Goal is to win 2 out of 3.
'Hope so, but it won't be easy.

Keuchel came into the game today at 12-5 and won his 13th. He was tied for the AL lead in wins.

McHugh comes into the game tomorrow at . . . 12-5.

Good move by Chip Hale taking Yasmany Tomás out of the game immediately for not running out a ground ball.

We can't forget that we have another Yasiel Puig on our hands.

We do? News to me.
I am not sure how that addresses the issue of Tomás' lack of hustle, similar to Puig's behavior at times.

When quoting my post, you removed from it the line that preceded it. "Good move by Chip Hale taking Yasmany Tomás out of the game immediately for not running out a ground ball." That was the key to my post. Here is an article which followed.

Tomas hit a routine grounder to Astros first baseman Chris Carter, who trotted to the bag and stepped on it. Tomas jogged about two-thirds of the way to first before peeling off.

If Goldy, who is a superstar, can give it his all running down the line on every play, so should Tomás.

Do you really not see a similarity between some attitude that Puig has shown and now Tomás'? I fully support Chip immediately pulling him from the game to make that point.

You said we have another Puig on our hands and referencing one instance in which he jogged out a routine ground ball to justify your position. Bad choice on Tomas's part to not run it out? Yes. Should we make sweeping generalizations about his behavior as a result of one play? No.

Dudes slack off and don't hustle to first and then are subsequently get yanked from games all of the time. Mostly, you never hear about that person's behavior ever again. So up to this point, to compare this one instance to Puig, who has a pathological history of being a malcontent, is highly highly irresponsible. Or you could just be comparing the two because they are both Cuban, which is equally as ridiculous.

Back to massive amounts of inconsistency...and again, no Goldy, no Win...

Did the top 4 get a hit? 9 hits to 8. Anyone hitting in the top of the order and we would've had a game.

Actually, 1 through 3 went hitless. 4 through 9 each got at least one hit apiece.

But the key was that, although we outhit them 9-8, they outscored us 4-1.

I would hope that the hitting coaches are concentrating on hitting with runners in scoring position or on base.
