Everybody is working their way back tonight -- Collmenter plus Peralta, Owings, Tuffy -- except for Ahmed. Sadly, the guy is just not a hitter.

And here in the top of the 9th, Collmenter has as many hits as he has given up -- 3.

Josh shows why he is our ace.

I guess, but to call him an "ace" is almost an insult to other aces out there.

Love me some Tomahawk, but I think he's better equipped to be a long reliever than starter.

Right now he is our number one starter, thus the "ace" designation. Do we really have 5 starters better than him, which would make him our long reliever? He has the first complete game win by ANY starter this year. The "ace" has been earned and has yet to be taken away.

Tomas looks like a lot of wasted $$$ right now.

yeah.. how soon is too soon to call him a huge mistake?

here's what i don't get.. Lamb is STROKING at the plate, and was 2-3 with 2 walks tonight.. you pinch hit him for Tomas.. because why..?? this is 2 games in a row where Chip really me scratching my head on some substitutions that I don't understand

It was the ninth and we were up 9-0

Perfect time to pinch hit

It's early... but when was the last time the Dbacks were anywhere near the Top tier in all of MLB for hits and runs as a team? Right now they are 6th in both categories...

Again, it's early and as I mentioned previously, I'm not so concerned about the W's as I only predicted 72 of them this year. But man, this team is fun and WAY more likeable than previous team over the past many seasons!

Goldy is crushing every ball he gets a bat on. Even his outs are crushed!
Lamb is a terrific story and surprise.
Inciarte is simply awesome! The perfect guy to have at the top of the lineup.
Pollack is proving to be a fantastic #2 hitter and along with Ender, man can they cover ground in the outfield.
Owings & Ahmed are very solid up the middle and Lamb & Goldy have the corners locked down.
Hoping Peralta gets the bat going.

As for our pitching... Bradley is of course the story. So awesome! We'll see what the rest of the staff can do over the next few months. The pen has been holding up for the most part. Josh's complete game last night was huge!
Truth be told, I'm not at all sold on Hellickson. Nuno should be up soon...

The only issue I see with Inciarte is actually trying to reign him in a bit...He's doing so well, but it seems that sometimes he's trying to do too much, like getting caught stealing 3rd, when Goldy is up to bat...and then Goldy getting a hit. Things like that make me think he's reading his own press and he feels he can do it all...Other than that, if they can just slow him down and guide him, I think he'll eventually be a star.

Heck no! Talent like Ender is not to be slowed down. This is his first full season in the bigs. He's still learning and will make the proper adjustments. But from a coaching perspective - I hope they are telling him to keep the pedal to the metal!

He needs to play within the game, though...not running into outs and costing runs...don't want to see him have Puig issues.

Why isn't Lamb playing? Right now Hale is worse than Gibson when it comes to putting a starting line-up together.
