I never listened to a word Towers said about Bauer. I listened to everyone else. We all know you hate Towers, it skews your judgement so bad, you come across as nothing but a hater. The proof is in the pudding

Ripping Towers is not hate, the guy was a complete disaster.

Bauer should never have been traded, and even if you DO think he was a head case, it still does not justify that we traded a guy who was one of the top prospects in all of baseball (along with 2 solid relievers) for a really mediocre short stop prospect. There is no justification for that pile of stupidity.

damnit...

I thought he was going to catch that.

Reed is dicey, in a lot of other stadiums that ball is in the 5th row.

What pudding? Bauer would have been our second best pitcher last year and he has 19 strikeouts in 12 innings so far this year. He's at worst an average starter and at best an all-star pitcher.

Enciarte with his second boneheaded play of the game.

Well done.

I hope Hudson gets elevated to closer. His stuff is way nastier than Reed.

Wow, you are really delusional. The proof is in the pudding, just look at all the terrible trades and signings Towers did while the GM here. He set this franchise back years.

Agree. Hudson should be the closer. How many games does it have to take to realize Reed is not the answer as the closer?

I prefer to call it perceptive. :)

Still upset he took Bradley out. If Gibby would have done that....

Reed stinks, but Enciarte had two opportunities to close this game: once in the 7th on the lazy effort on the shallow fly and the poorly judged ball in right in the 9th.

And did Owings have to rush the throw from the ground?

Yeah, it is a team game.

I don't want to pile on, but what perspective? Towers best move was signing a really good young player (whom he inherited) to an early extension. It was a good move, but it was hardly wizardry. Meanwhile he made one horrific signing and trade after another.

Even as we speak the Dbacks are in dealing with another remnant of Towers, as Addison Reed just continued his trend of blowing games.

It was the best extension of the century. But of course, you are in denial.

In brighter news:

Archie Bradley out-pitched the reigning NL Cy Young in his first game, and then out-pitched the reinging WS MVP tonight.

With that logic, Bradley is the best pitcher in baseball, am I right?

Enciarte probably should catch that, but that ball was crushed, it went over 400 feet, in most stadiums that thing is in the bleachers. Hill also made a great diving stab earlier in the inning. If anything Reed got lucky in being spared the loss.

Like every team does early extensions on good young players, and even if it is the greatest extension of all-time it STILL does not even remotely counter balance Tower's long list of idiotic moves.

Do you REALLY think he was a good or even decent GM? Based on ONE move?

Tuffy saved that inning about 5 times with all those blocked balls in the dirt
