Bracho gives up a two-run double
I find it difficult to watch Bracho. He looks so insignificant on the mound. Even without giving up a two-run double. I had hoped that when he was sent down, he'd stay down.

This might not be the worst Dbacks team we've ever had but it might be the most disappointing.

A lot of bad luck today. Bradley was fire, and Zac Curtis had been pitching very well in relief. I feel like Chip made all the right moves but sometimes the dealer hits 21 and there just isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

But man, Archie Bradley is pitching better than he did last year before he got his face smashed in.

Finally got to watch a game.

The Cubs are just a better team, but Castillo can't frame a pitch to save his life and he cost Bradley some strike calls in this game. Owings didn't look good in CF, but I don't think the two plays I noticed it on would have resulted much differently with a professional CFer.

I don't like Seguras Offensive game. He's an out machine of agreasiveness.

Owings looked really good at the plate for having such a low BB rate.

At Wrigley today and tomorrow. Tomorrows looking iffy with storms heading this way. There is a party going on in Wrigleyville as we were down there yesterday as well after the Dodgers game.

Love the way they still show scores from the rest of the division.

Like it matters.

Did Lamb forget how to play 3rd base or was he always terrible?

"Gold Glover Nick Ahmed" with the boot. I don't even know where to start.

Ahmed 0-3 with the Little League boot.

The fact that I'm having a discussion about this game with myself speaks volumes.

The moment of truth about Ahmed's lock on the SS position is coming.

When Peralta returns full strength, if he plays CF until Pollock returns (so Drury can play RF), with Owings shifting to SS, I'll remain in Chip's corner.

Even if Peralta, Drury, Bourn and Tomás rotate in the OF to keep them fresh.

But if Nick Ahmed bumps any of them from starting regularly, I'll be very disappointed.

Well, if it's Tomás, not that disappointed. But we all suspect that the Front Office isn't going to let him be bumped from starting.

It does. I needed a break. Some bad baseball.

Arrieta has 11K's with one out in the 5th with a 100PC in a 3-1 game.

With one out in the 5th, the Dbaxks are 8 for 9 on balls hit in play!! Arrieta has 12 k's! There has only been one non-K out for the Dbacks! Wow!!!

The team is actually competing much better in this series than I expected them to against the best team in baseball in Chicago, especially with the 5ft wide strike zone the umps have been giving their pitchers.

Corbin and Archie both pitched fantastic.

I know he has his defenders here and I mean no offense but Chip Hale is not the manager this team needs. It's not about ME finding someone better, lol. It's simply the fact that he has zero enthusiasm, he doesn't seem to hold anyone accountable and his lineups remain suspect. I cannot stand his canned answers in pressers and total lack of interest.

Just like when GOLDY made that base running error. Cut to Chip Hale, sitting on the bench all by himself with his arms folded. I'm surprised he wasn't texting or playing with his tablet.

He doesn't even go by and say; so what happened there? He just spouts the company line; "everything will be fine, he will be fine, we are all fine, it's totally fine."

I can't wait for the presser. Chip what happened there? "Oh it's fine GOLDY will work it out. Matt Williams is a good base coach, I'm gonna have segura batting 8the tomorrow and Yazmani is our new lead off hitter! It's gonna be fine!"
