So cops gave him a ticket?
I don't know. I assume something would happen like that.

My wife was in the front yard when it happened. We live on a corner lot and an SUV came around the corner, past our house, his house and a few houses down the street and he lit one off. My wife said the SUV brake lights came on and then she said it lit up like a christmas tree, Red and Blue and white all over... It backed up to his drive way and parked. A few minutes later a squad car came around the corner with it's lights on.

About 5-10 mins later a fire truck arrived with its lights on and stopped in front of his house and was there for a good 30-40mins before everyone left. It wasn't a normal fire truck, much smaller.

You couldn't really tell what was going on over there. Just a lot of lights and it was pretty quiet in the neighborhood from then on.

I'm sure my wife will find out what happened in the next few days. I was stuck in the house so all I could see was out the front window and could see all the lights but not much else.

Tomas update
Outfielder Yasmany Tomas suffered a setback in his return from a right groin injury, suffering a new – and apparently more severe – issue with the groin than the one that’s kept him out since the beginning of June.

On Saturday night, Tomas left the third game of his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona League with what was initially called “general tightness.” An MRI revealed what manager Torey Lovullo described as a “mild” strain. His previous injury had been characterized as “tendinitis.”

“It seems like it’s in a different spot,” Lovullo said.

If center fielder’s A.J. Pollock’s timetable is any indication, Tomas might not be back anytime soon. Pollock missed more than seven weeks with his groin strain, an injury that also was described as “mild,” though he might have missed an extra week or so due to a quad issue that popped up during his rehab.

Tomas hasn’t played since June 2. The club has played well in his absence, going 18-9 in the 27 games.

Three things to know about this game

• Wood has been adept at getting hitters out of their comfort zone at the most opportune times, coaxing them to swing at 38 percent of his pitches outside the strike zone for the third-highest chase rate recorded by a starter with runners in scoring position. So far, opponents have gone just 2-for-14 when chasing Wood's out-of-zone deliveries in those crucial situations.

• In five career games (one start) against the Dodgers, Godley has a 2.45 ERA and .135 opponents average.

• In 10 career games (six starts) against the D-backs, Wood is 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA and has struck out 28 against nine walks, while posting a 1.10 WHIP.

Offense he all but disappeared over the last 2 weeks or so... I know it's Kershaw and Wood, but man... we look like minor leaguers at the plate...
