Would love a couple of insurance runs here. Rodney with a one run lead in the ninth scares the crap out of me.

Man I hope we get this one. I would have never picked this start with who we had to play.

But he pulls it off again. Very nice win in what was looking like what could have been an ugly game.

It's inexplicable that he is 4 for 4 in save opportunities and is 1-0 with an ERA over 10.

It worked for @Bert I had to try and it worked. The bad news is we will get killed all 3 in S.D.

Win! Nice comeback, guys. Rodney, well done. I will take a split with the Dodgers in LA any day.

Heck yeah that's what I'm talkin about baby!

Open the series with 4 against SF, 3 against CLE, then 3 more on the road against SF and 4 against LA... And weve emerged 9-5!!!!!!!!!!! SO AWESOME!

Rodney sucks it's over.
Dont worry I saw what you were doing there. :) :stick:

And yeah there is ZERO chance the hitting keeps up for Pollock Peralta and there's also no way Goldy hits .500 in the next series with 2 HRs.

Hard to believe this team is tied for the major league lead in wins (9), given how shaky their starting pitching has been and their hitting so sporadic...not to mention Rodney's cardiac closing skills....
There is no way this form of winning is sustainable. Ray at this very moment is our ace and he looks like he could totally collapse at many points in a game. Walker has showed some signs to be positive about him, yet he still hasn't completed 7 innings in a game. Corbin and Greinke have sucked, a la 2016. And Miller has been below average again.
Anyway, this is fun for now for sure! We are supposed to win this upcoming series against the Padres... let's see if we can play better, pitch better and hit more consistently. Oh, and playing error free wouldn't hurt either! [emoji106]

I'm not sure what they see in descalso other than a left handed bat

What is he, 3 for 22 now? No idea why he is still in the starting lineup.

Of course the Dbacks reeling me back in with these wins!

The other 9 win team is the Rookies. So they are neck and neck in the standings in the NL West. Also, looking at the Rookies wins, they weren't by much and they had a goose egg against the Padres.

So, are you thinking he deserves a starting spot to prove himself?

Not necessarily. He's not going to be able to hit 97 as a starter (he was around 93) and the difference those extra MPH make with his 81MPH curve makes him very dangerous as a reliever.

Edit: I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a starting spot. I'm saying his current usage is pretty impactful. I bet over the course of the long season he ends up making some starts and he'll move to SP before he moves to CL.
