Not a bad move. I can't imagine we gave up anything of value since he was just DFA'ed last week. He has talent it just comes down to him realizing it. Hopefully he can.

Classic Tower's, low risk - high reward move. Adds another LHP to the rotation, hopefully he bounces back from a rough last couple of years. This ends the SP search so hopefully KT starts to focus on the bull pen and adding some offensive punch to the lineup.

It was for a player to be named later and since this was a salary dump for Pittsburgh, I can not see them taking Mark with his new contract.

That commenter is an idiot. The reason it is a PTBNL is the fact he is not on the 40 man roster. Because the rule 5 draft is coming up rosters are frozen so there is a chance the guy we traded could be picked up by another club. That being said I highly doubt he will be picked up since Duke was DFAed and has little value. The guy we gave up is probably a low to mid level prospect that isn't expected to be much. Maybe his top is a 4th or 5th starter, maybe a reliever, or may never even reach the majors. We are not giving up someone who has good value like Reynolds.

LMAO the notion that the PTBNL is Reynolds.

It's Zach Duke guys.. The same Zach Duke who was cut by the pitching starved Pirates.

The PTBNL is going to be a low level prospect with no future in Arizona or a career minor leaguer- journeyman at most.

I've seen enough of Duke in the last two years (I live about two blocks from PNC Park, can walk there in about 5 minutes) to tell you this.. Don't get too optimistic. Duke is garbage.
