Man... what an horrendous season on so many levels... Not least of which is watching guys like McCarthy and Prado team up to keep the Yankees in the playoff hunt. And to add insult to that injury, of ALL FRIGGIN PEOPLE - Chris Young hits a walk-off 3 run jack to win the game for the Yankees last night!!! Are you kidding me????? You just can't make this stuff up....

Was just about to post that... Top of the 11th in a 0-0 game, he hits another HR (his 3rd as a Yankee) to give the Yanks a 1-0 lead. Yanks ended up blowing the game and lose 2-1...

This year it is more than injuries. It's the monotone, uninspiring leadership of the most visible team member to the public -- the Manager (and most of his coaching staff).

Our starting pitching has done well lately. The bullpen is mediocre. The offensive combinations that have been put on the field have sucked.

Next season, Tony La Russa and our new GM need a Manager who will cater to their skills, rather than them catering to a .500 Manager.

Offensively, with Inciarte as a classic leadoff hitter and Goldy, Pollock, Peralta and Chris Owings as a young nucleus, we should be on our way.

Just define their roles and let them produce.

And a Pitching coach who isn't one page ahead of the pitchers in the book of instructions.
