Three things to know about this game

• Tuesday's start will be Greinke's third against the Rockies this season. Greinke is 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA and 1.154 WHIP in his first two outings. He has a career ERA of 4.03 in nine appearances at Coors Field.

• Marquez has held opponents to a lower batting average in seven career appearances at Coors Field than nine outings on the road. Opposing hitters own a .261 average and .792 OPS against the 22-year-old righty at the Rockies' home field vs. a .301 average and .839 OPS elsewhere.

• This week's series will be the third between the D-backs and Rockies this season. The Rockies have had the upper hand so far. They're 4-2 against the D-backs and have won two-of-three in both of the first two series.

Nervous about this series but excited...

Dbacks have the right pitchers going up to the bats to light up.

I know dbacks wont sweep rockies but just win several Go Dbacks!

Game Day: Zack Greinke leads Diamondbacks into three-game series against Rockies
Greinke gave up five runs – all of them unearned – in 5 2/3 innings against the Tigers on June 13 in the first game of the Diamondbacks’ current road trip. Greinke was hurt by an error by SS Chris Owings and a misplayed fly ball by RF David Peralta. … Greinke has been equally effective against lefties (.224 average, .646 OPS) as righties (.220, .648) this season. … He has faced the Rockies twice this season, giving up five earned runs in 13 innings.

Big series but no where near how big series are going to be later this summer. A sweep by either team doesn't guarantee anything. Lots of baseball yet to be played.

Greinke has been great as usual (Defense gave up 3 bases on errors to the first run)
