Edgar had one bad outing...he's given up less than 3 runs every other outing which is all you can hope for out of a #5 starter. With Scherzer pitching like he has and Doug Davis coming back, we shouldn't have any problems with the rotation. Hell, I would be fine with Petit being the #5 starter if necessary.

I'll watch the replay on foxaz a little later.

Looks like my early skeptical hopefulness on RJ is about right, for now. If we need to replace both Edgar and RJ, we'll be in trouble.

We cannot release Edgar if we are going to need him in place of RJ.

Not going to happen. RJ will sell tickets because of the 300 in factor. The only way RJ is out is if his is not healthy and in that case he will most like just call it quits.

It's Owings' first HR of the year. But if he maintain his current slugging percentage, it will be the highest in history for a pitcher, according to Sutton.

No we aren't in trouble... Davis is coming back and Scherzer can start, add them to our great trio and we still have the best rotation. I think RJ will do better anyway.

Who would have thought that a pitcher would be good enough to pinch-hit, let alone hit a home run? Very nice come from behind victory by the D-Backs. What I'm concerned about, though, is how poorly Randy Johnson pitched. Hopefully he can redeem himself in his next start.
