Marlins send Julio to Rockies for Kim
Struggling right-handers given fresh starts in new cities
MLB.com
The Marlins and Rockies pulled off a swap of struggling pitchers on Sunday, with Florida sending former closer Jorge Julio to Colorado for right-hander Byung-Hyun Kim.
Julio was acquired from the Diamondbacks during the final week of Spring Training to hold down the Marlins' closer role. After blowing each of his first two opportunities, Julio was removed from the role and spent time on the disabled list with a right calf strain. He pitched in 10 games for the Marlins, going 0-2 while compiling a 12.54 ERA.
Kim voiced his displeasure after losing out in the competition to be the Rockies' fifth starter during Spring Training. He made two relief appearances and a spot start for Colorado this season, posting a 1-2 record with a 10.50 ERA.
A 3 game winning streak! Wow...finally...something. Kind of weird how Grace was talking about Melvin's line-ups like it's a good thing...hmm.
Valverde was amazing and even though Byrnes probably won't be back, I'm glad we will still have O-Dog.
Rumor has Hudson being traded to the Mets now that Valentin is out.
Byrnes said they aren't sellers right now on the post-game show, so I don't see Hudson gone until next year.Rumor has Hudson being traded to the Mets now that Valentin is out.
Source? Some Met fan named Guido? The trade O-Dog rumors I don't understand, since he has another year left on his contract.
Plenty of 2B options if Mets go shopping

A stunning number of second basemen are available if the New York Mets decide to pursue a deal.
Washington's Ronnie Belliard, Tampa Bay's Jorge Cantu (and ex-Met Ty Wigginton, who can play second), the White Sox' Tadahito Iguchi, Arizona's Orlando Hudson, Houston's Mark Loretta, San Francisco's Ray Durham and Kansas City's Mark Grudzielanek all are or could be available for various reasons.

Tracy is having knee trouble and probably won't start for a few days. He's available off the bench though for pinch hitting. No Tracy or CoJack in the lineup. Diamondbacks up 1-0.
Big to the fan teasing the Marlins outfield with the ball after he stole a homer.
