First road trip of the year

We avoid Shields and Ross.

Take 2 out of 3 vs Padres. Try and get above .500 on the road.

We face Super Mega Star Justin Upton, who is on his third team (and off to his usual April start)

Upton robs us of a run...

Also, no Pollack? If you wanna get Peralta PT then sit Trumbo, AJ is our 2nd best hitter and just got 3 hits yesterday.

Trumbo is off to a good start without the leg problems of last season.

I think you better get used to seeing our four lead outfielders sharing three positions to keep them fresh, while taking advantage of batters vs. pitchers matchups.

And, BTW, Trumbo just scored the first run of the game, on base to score on the error.

And now it's 4-0 D-backs with Chip's lineup. Inciarte with two RBI's.

....noticed Grace chatting it up with Inciarte after his oppo 2-run double over Upton's head. Seems to me many of the Dbacks hits have a Gracie feel to them; everyone seems to be trying to drive the ball up the middle or opposite field.

52 pitches thru 3 for De La Rosa, like to see him have a couple quick innings otherwise the already taxed bullpen is going to be stretched thin game 1

Yes, coaching appears to be on point thus far. But I also believe that guys like Stew, LaRussa, and to a bit lesser extent Grace and Gonzo have had a positive impact...

With RJ spending time during spring training, Dave Duncan & McKay back together with LaRussa, there is definitely a culture of proven success on staff.

Dbacks take the opener 8-4. Rubby definitely improved upon his last outing, and Ender went wild tonight. A lot of positive looking baseball.

I'd like to see AJ start most every game. His defense is stellar as well as what he brings to the plate. Rotate the other guys but start AJ.
