Hudson is looking good. Maybe he can be the closer and put Reed in as the set-up guy.

Starting to feel like Hellickson could be a Cahill replica... [emoji45]

Yeah, he looks terrible. He had an awful spring too.

At least we're not all that committed. He isn't tied to an enormous contract like Cahill, we can dump him pretty painlessly.

He was kind of like a Scratcher for the season. Pretty cheap to acquire but had a small chance at paying off.

Damn, I was just in the process of typing a post about how Hellickson had settled down...

That was a shot.

Hellickson actually fought well enough to give us a shot... No bats last night is really what hurt us.
But yea, Hellickson is extremely unimpressive thus far... Nuno can't be far off from making an appearance in the rotation.

The word is Tomas can't play 3rd, but I cannot imagine he is nearly as bad as Trumbo in the field.

An outfielder chasing a ground ball from behind is something that should virtually never happen... and we've seen it from Trumbo 3 times already. His immobility alone would make him a sub par fielder but he takes the worst angles at the ball, and between his sliding efforts than come up 15 feet short and when he scaled the fence... only to have the ball land 10 feet short of the wall, its plain that he has zero ability to judge the ball in flight.

totally.

AND, to put salt in an open wound; the other night a ball was hit to right/right-center. trumbo planned to play it off the wall, and was standing in a weird location where the ball never would have bounced, and he was "ready" to field it. lucking inciarte came ALL THE WAY OVER, played the bounce correctly and threw it in
