D-Backs first skid of the season, and I doubt the last... Get ready for a roller coaster season, especially if Mr. Brynes doesn't step up and our fielding doesn't get better.

But methinks we'll be just fine... we can't realistically expect to win 150 games.... ;)

It's not only Byrnes, Reynolds is in a major slump. Hopefully he can snap out of it and go on one of his hitting streaks.

I really like Reynolds' power and how he's improved his fielding.

But he's a huge streak hitter, just as Steve Finley was. When he slumps, it goes on and on. But when he's hot, he can carry a team.

We got some hitters that are in some major slumps right now: Reynolds, Byrnes, and Young. Not to mention the fact that we haven't been hitting the long ball with any regularity

Hudson is out for tonight's contest due to hamstring issues, but he isn't expected to go on the DL.

I watched Hudson run yesterday at the game, he looked like he was struggling to reach 2nd on that double. He needs some time off.

Diamondbacks win 6-4! That last inning was a little scary but Lyon got out of it. I was impressed that Lyon hit 96 on the radar. RJ gets the win and moves closer to 300.

Has Lyon now earned some respect with his 9th straight save? I hope so!

14 wins left for RJ to reach 300 and 29 more K's to pass Clemens.

How did Johnson look? I missed this one, but will catch the replay on mlb.com tomorrow. Did he look at least average tonight?

It's not the RJ of old, but he said this is the best he's felt all season.

And that 4-pitch walk he received with the bases loaded. Cool.

I'm hoping Reynolds, Young, and Byrnes can all snap out of this funk they're in. They have been very dissapointing at the plate the past couple weeks.

I went to my first game of the season on Monday. That jumbotron is amazing, I couldn't stop lookign at it

I think the radar gun at Chase is running a little high. Randy's been up to 94. Chad Qualls has been up to 99. I think Lyon was even as high as 98 a few nights ago. In the game he closed, Jose Valverde was hitting 98/99 (whereas he was usually around 95 with the Dbacks).

Young homers to break a 1-1 tie and Ojeda follows that with a triple.

Byrnes swings at the first pitch and dribbles one up to the pitcher. Ojeda stays at third. Upton is not the one who should be taking the night off. Byrnes is now 4-39. CoJack gets Ojeda in with a grounder to second. 3-1 Diamondbacks.

Byrnes needs to hit 8th...period. my line up would be

1) Young
2) Drew
3) Upton
4) Jackson
5) Snyder/Montero (both been ripping)
6) Hudson
7) Reynolds
8) Byrnes
9) Pitcher (can be fliped floped to 8th when Owings & Hudson pitch) :D
